This year marks the 90th annual Strawberry Festival at the South Bay Grange in Olympia. Historically strawberry fields surrounded the South Bay Grange. "The fields are gone, but the community continues." Join us as we start the celebration with our Strawberry Short-K 5K Run/Walk.

Our route begins at Dickey's Remodel & Repair - 3503 South Bay Rd NE, Olympia, WA 98506

Our 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers in each category will receive a complimentary Strawberry Shortcake with all our runners enjoying fresh berries at the finish and a $1 coupon to spend at the Strawberry Festival!. Additional Gift Card Prizes will be awarded to random lucky members who finish the race!

After the race, spend the day with us at the Strawberry Festival with food, vendors, activities, and performance presentations from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Entry into the festival is free!

Proceeds will benefit the South Bay Grange.

Event details and schedule

Check in at Dickey's Remodel & Repair in Olympia -(Address: 3503 South Bay Rd NW, Olympia, WA 98506)- between 7:00 AM and 7:45 AM on June 13th. Fun Run/Walk Starts at 8:00am. Parking is available at surrounding businesses.

Have you been dreaming of running the Boston Marathon? Need to shave a few minutes off your qualifying time? Or maybe you're just looking for the perfect course to set a new PR? Whether Boston is

your goal or not, the Bound for Boston Marathon & Half Marathon is for you.

We are racing around Olympia High School and the course features a 1-mile, super flat and super fast loop, making it ideal for consistent pacing and record-setting performances. The Full Marathon is USATF certified, making it a Boston Qualifier.

This event is uniquely designed for serious runners. We will have water and an electrolyte drink at the aid table. Participants are welcome to bring their own personalized aid to place on the aid tables, allowing you to grab exactly what you need each time you pass. Many runners even bring a cheer crew to help hand out fuel and keep the motivation high throughout the race.

To maintain the best possible experience, this is intentionally a small, focused event, capped at just 75 participants.

We will have a great race shirt and finisher medals for all participants. Awards for both distances are in the usual 5-year age groups.

Fast course, flexible support, and a chance to chase your goals—this is the race that lets you run your perfect day.

2026 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Olympia Lakefair Races, which include the Jerry Miller Half Marathon, an 8K and a 3K including free entry for Kids 14 and under; taking runners on routes that

circle around the town of Olympia and beyond into Tumwater and Thurston County.

Both the 3K and 8K start and finish on 5th Avenue in front of Heritage Park. They both circle Capitol Lake, with the 8K continuing into Tumwater Historical Park before returning. Both are flat and fast courses.

The Jerry Miller Half Marathon heads briefly through downtown Olympia, then along the Woodland Trial and Chehalis Western Trail biking paths. The course continues on rural streets and a short trail and tour of Squaxin Park before heading back along East Bay Drive and running through downtown Olympia to the finish line in front of Heritage Park. Runners will enjoy tree-lined trails and scenic landscapes while enjoying flat and narrow paved trails throughout.

Once runners have completed the course, there is an awards ceremony with several raffle awards as well as age group award up to 90+ for all three races. Participants, family and friends can then enjoy festival activities that are held all around Heritage Park including food and beer tents, carnival rides, booths, a parade and more.
