The Order of the Easter Star (OES) is a fraternal organization that brings together men and women to promote moral values, charity, education, and service to others. We are a Fraternal, non-profit, charitable service organization. The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic-affiliated organization open to women and men. It is dedicated to charitable work, personal growth, and community service, using lessons from biblical heroines and heroes to teach principles such as love, fidelity, faith hope and charity.

    • Service-oriented: OES supports charities, scholarships, youth programs, and community needs.

    • Values-based: It teaches ethical living, compassion, and integrity through symbolism and ritual.

    • Family-inclusive: It allows men and women to work together in a fraternal setting while serving in support of youth programs for males (DeMolay) and Females (International Order of Rainbow for girls and Jobs’ daughters).

    • Community-focused: Members are encouraged to give back locally and beyond.

    • Supportive-fellowship: It offers friendship, mutual support, and personal enrichment.

Our Organization was established in 1850. Our Local Chapter was chartered in 1942 and has actively supported our members and significant Community needs for more than 83 years.

The Noland Trail 50K & Relay gives runners the opportunity to race the ONLY event run on the beautiful Noland Trail in The Mariners’ Museum Park. The 50K will consist of 6 laps on the trail, and a short section of course before and after each trail lap. Relay teams can be made up of 2-6 team members, and take on the 6 laps together. In between laps runners can hang out together in "Tortuga" and enjoy time with one another. All runners gain access to the Mariners' Museum Fall Festival that will feature live music, craft beer & cider tastings and activities for the entire family.

The race start times are set up so that the slowest runners/teams start first (7:30AM is first wave of runners), and throughout the morning gradually faster runners/teams will start, with the fastest runners starting around 8:45-9:00AM. This helps to keep congestion down on the trail, and also makes it so that most participants are finishing around the same timeframe. Start times are determined using the mile pace submitted during registration. Team start times will be based on average pace of the team. Start times will be posted about 2 weeks prior to the run.
