#RAIDER RUN 5K & FUN RUN, 8:30 A.M.

There’s nothing better than running in crisp autumn air, and the Sweater Weather Run is the perfect way to celebrate the season and find a new fall favorite run! Join us on November 7th for festive race day featuring 15K, 10K, and 5K distances for runners of all levels. Enjoy scenic courses, crisp autumn air, and a welcoming community atmosphere – it’s the perfect excuse to break out your favorite cool-weather gear. Whether you’re chasing a goal, running with friends, or simply soaking in the cozy fall vibes, lace up your shoes and make the Sweater Weather Run part of your fall tradition.

Heath Golf & Yacht Club is putting on our fourth annual fun run on Thanksgiving morning. Last year we were able to donate $18000.00 to Helping Hands. All race proceeds will go to this organization who help families going through difficult times. For more information click on the link below or copy and paste to your web browser.

It will feature a Kid's 1K at 8:00 AM and a 5K at 8:30. The Kids 1K will be out and back from the Clubhouse, the 5K will circle a loop going east on Governor's Drive, north on Trophy and west back to Clubhouse on Governor's Drive. The 5K race will be a chipped timed race.

Each Kid will receive a medal after finishing the 1K. There will be overall female and male awards in the 5K, and age group awards: 1-19, 20-29, 30-39,40-49, 50-59, and 60-99. Results will be posted at the race site and on RunSignUp, the Kid's 1K will not be timed but the top 3 boys and girls will be acknowledged.

Each registrant will receive a fun T-shirt to commemorate their efforts and helping give back to others on Thanksgiving morning.

There will be a packet pickup Wednesday, November 26th at the clubhouse from 4:00-7:00 PM and also on race day morning from 7:00-7:50 AM.

Join the Dallas Running Club on Sunday, November 1, 2026, for the 51st annual DRC’s The Half (Half Marathon, 10K & 5K). This beloved Dallas tradition celebrates the scenic trails of our running home, White Rock Lake, while supporting the Tal Morrison Scholarship Fund for local student-athletes. The race starts at Norbuck Park and welcomes runners of all levels.
