On June 3rd, 2024, Julian Myles Wood (3 yrs old) lost his life in an unprovoked act of violence.

Julian's parents organized this 5K to honor his memory, celebrate his life, and give back in his name.

All proceeds support scholarships for students and fund initiatives that give back to the youth in our community!

This year's race logo was designed by David Spencer @ The Mischief Factory!

    We're heading south—Cleveland-style—for the Little Carolina run on June 20th! While we’re not making the trip to the real Carolinas, we are bringing the southern vibes to the Cleveland Metroparks with this fun, summer evening race.

    How This Event Works

    🏃‍♂️ This event features a 5K loop!.

    • During registration, participants choose which distance they want to accomplish on race day

    • At the finish line, participants will receive a finisher medal and a distance button to adhere to their ribbon to commemorate the distance they accomplished

    • Hiking, Rucking, Walking, Running, and any speed is allowed.

    After the race, stick around for a lively afterparty featuring live bluegrass music and a beer garden to toast your miles.

    • The loops and start/finish will pass amongst the festivities for an atmosphere you won't want to miss

    Event Timeline

    • 4:30 PM – Packet Pick-Up begins

    • 6:00 PM – Race starts, beer garden opens, and live music kicks off

    • 8:35 PM – Runners must have started final loop

    • 9:00 PM – Event concludes and sweep of course for final runners

    Racing at Huntington Beach in the Cleveland Metroparks Huntington Reservation is back. The Huntington Sprint Triathlon brings triathlon racing to Cleveland’s west side suburbs, giving athletes the opportunity to compete along the Lake Erie shoreline in Bay Village.

    The race details

    • 🌊 750 Meter Swim: Athletes will kick off their race with an open water swim at Huntington Beach on Lake Erie.

    • 🚴 13.1 Mile Bike: The bike course rolls through the beautiful communities of Bay Village and Avon Lake. (The bike course is not closed to traffic. Police & volunteers will be on course to monitor the race.)

    • 🏃3 Mile Run: The run course winds through scenic Bay Village neighborhoods.

    • 🎉 Transition & finish line: The transition and finish line are located south of Lake Road near the Huntington Playhouse, creating a centralized race venue with easy spectator access and an energetic post-race celebration.
