Enjoy a brisk out-and-back run along the historic Yorktown Battlefield tour roads. Water/Gatorade stations along the way will provide refreshments. Finish with a post-race awards ceremony at York High School.

Saturday, 7 February 2026

7 to 8:45 a.m. – Race-day Registration and Packet pickup at York High School. (Race day registration ends at 8:30 a.m.)

9 a.m. – Knights of Columbus 10-Mile and 10-Kilometer Run for the Heart (Both races start simultaneously)

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Post run party and awards ceremony at York High School

Runners Get:

Long-sleeve technical shirt

Medallions for all finishers

A post-race party with pizza, drinks, and dessert, along with an award ceremony

Access to the National Colonial Park for the week of 08 February 2025.

Note that there is a significant increase in price due to a $15.00 per runner fee imposed by the National Colonial Park. This is the same week access fee that you would pay if you were visiting the park as a tourist. No, the fee cannot be waived by other membership.

    This is a Chip timed 8K event that participants can run,walk or Ruck on the 4th of July on the historic Yorktown Virginia Battlefield Tour Road.     The 8K race starts at 8 AM. The 5K Fun Run starts at 8:30 AM

    All 8K participants receive a custom race T ( Custom Race T and T shirt size guaranteed to those registered by June 24th, 2026) and the first 350 to register and finish receive a beautiful custom die cast commemorative medal. Awards for the top three overall men and women. 8K participants will compete for Age Group awards starting at 14 and under, 15-19, Five year increments from 20-24 to 75 and over.

    8K Ruck Division. Awards to the top overall Male and Female Ruck finisher.

    This year the 5k is Chip timed. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to the top three men and women in age groups: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 10 year increments 20-29, to 80 and over

    All 5K Run participants receive a finisher coin and a custom race T while supplies last ( Custom Race T and T shirt size guaranteed to those registered by June 24th, 2026) .

    Refreshments and post race celebration after your finish.

    A 5K running and walking event with 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut co-sponsored by Colonial Sports. Location 2070 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23185 (The Meadow area across from the Jamestown Settlement parking lot).

    There will be NO early packet pickup. Packet Pickup will be RACE Day ONLY starting at 7:00 AM in the entrance to the field across from parking area.

    BRING AN ITEM FOR THE RESCUE and receive (1) an additional door prize ticket. Door Prize ticket will be drawn for a $25 Gift Card. PLEASE BRING NEW ITEMS ONLY: dog/cat food (dry or wet), dog/cat treats, dog/cat toys, cat litter, puppy pee pads, gift cards (Petco, Care-A-Lot, Chewy, Amazon) or other needed pet supplies for rescued animals.

    DOG SAFETY: please remember this is a 1 or 3.1 mile race depending on your registered event. Consider the heat and your dog’s ability to manage the temperature and running on asphalt. Water for the dogs will be available at start/finish.

    NOTE: Dogs are permitted to participate in all events when accompanied by a registered runner/walker. Dogs must be in a harness/collar and on a leash or suitable lead. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

    NOTE: due to the high temperatures expected in late August, we will not have canine awards in the 5K this year. Dogs are welcome to participate in all events but there will be no medals available this year for the canine category.

    The 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut start at 8:00 am on Saturday. August 29, 2026.. Same starting line as the 5K event. Dogs may accompany participants on the 1 Mile event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

    The 5K starts at 8:30 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Runners will utilize USATF-certified course VA20012RT. This course follows the road running parallel to Jamestown Rd., then right onto Landfall, run to a turnaround, and back to the clearing area. Dogs may accompany participants on the 5k event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

    Pup Photo Contest after the 1 Mile and 5K have finished. Entry Fee is $5 and open to anyone onsite with a pet. Contest Categories include: Best Dressed Pet, Best Pet/Owner Look Alike, Cutest Pet Smile, Best Large Breed, Best Small Breed. Each winner will receive a prize!

    There will be a vendor fair on site with animal friendly and community service vendors for your enjoyment between 7:30 am and 11 am.

    All participants who register by deadline on August 25, 2026 are guaranteed a race t-shirt. A limited number of race t-shirts MAY be available for any later registrations but availability and specific sizes cannot be guaranteed. A die cast finishers medal will be available to the first 175 finishers.

    (1) Beer and (1 slice) Pizza included in registration. Non-drinkers and underage participants will be able to receive a non-alcoholic beverage.

    Parking is in the Jamestown Foundation Settlement parking lot.

    The Patriots Triathlon is a great end of season race with Olympic and Sprint options all while being just minutes from historic Williamsburg, VA and the Jamestown Settlement. The swim takes place at beautiful Jamestown beach where you can watch Osprey catch their breakfast or see a pod of dolphins swim along the course. The bike course is flat, fast and parallels the Cap-Cap bike trail along Rt. 5. The run course is simply amazing as it winds through historic farmland and forest on a combination of bike paths and jogging trails. Be sure to stay for the weekend to experience all that the greater Williamsburg area has to offer!
