Enjoy a brisk out-and-back run along the historic Yorktown Battlefield tour roads. Water/Gatorade stations along the way will provide refreshments. Finish with a post-race awards ceremony at York High School.

7 to 8:45 a.m. – Race-day Registration and Packet pickup at York High School. (Race day registration ends at 8:30 a.m.)

9 a.m. – Knights of Columbus 10-Mile and 10-Kilometer Run for the Heart (Both races start simultaneously)

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Post run party and awards ceremony at York High School

Runners Get:

Long-sleeve technical shirt

Medallions for all finishers

A post-race party with pizza, drinks, and dessert, along with an award ceremony

Access to the National Colonial Park for the week of 08 February 2025.

Note that there is a significant increase in price due to a $15.00 per runner fee imposed by the National Colonial Park. This is the same week access fee that you would pay if you were visiting the park as a tourist. No, the fee cannot be waived by other membership.

    Registrations available online and in-person on race day. If you'd like to receive a tshirt, you must register by end of day on 4/12/2026. Race Registrations received after 4/12/2026 are not guaranteed an event shirt or requested shirt size. Event shirts are distributed on a first come, first serve basis after 4/12/2026. Virtual 5K online registration is available up to race day.

    This is our 7th annual "Run for Nicaragua" Race! Since 2019 we've been able to raise over $50,000 to build homes for families in several Barrios in Nicaragua. Our goal in 2026 is to raise $20,000 to build homes in the Carlos Fonseca Barrio in Nicaragua. Each home costs $2,700. Can you believe that? A dry, safe home for a family in need for $2,700.     Bring non-perishable food items to support the food bank at Thrive Peninsula when you pick up your race packet or register on Race Day. Raffle tickets for a food drive prize will be given for donated food items. The food drive prize will be drawn after the awards ceremony.     This is a Chip timed 8K event that participants can run,walk or Ruck on the 4th of July on the historic Yorktown Virginia Battlefield Tour Road. Celebrate Independence on the best 8K running/walking course on the Peninsula! Race participants will park and gather near the York High School tennis courts ( 9300 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown, VA 23692) and will be led to the start line by Fife and Drummers. Race Day packet pick up only! 7AM-8:30 AM.

    The 8K race starts at 8 AM. The 5K Fun Run starts at 8:30 AM

    All 8K participants receive a custom race T ( Custom Race T and T shirt size guaranteed to those registered by June 24th, 2026) and the first 350 to register and finish receive a beautiful custom die cast commemorative medal. Awards for the top three overall men and women. 8K participants will compete for Age Group awards starting at 14 and under, 15-19, Five year increments from 20-24 to 75 and over.

    8K Ruck Division. Awards to the top overall Male and Female Ruck finisher.

    This year the 5k is Chip timed. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to the top three men and women in age groups: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 10 year increments 20-29, to 80 and over

    All 5K Run participants receive a finisher coin and a custom race T while supplies last ( Custom Race T and T shirt size guaranteed to those registered by June 24th, 2026) .
