Experience the Highlands College Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Black Creek Park in Fultondale, AL.

Located just outside of Birmingham, AL, the Five Mile Creek Greenway is one of Alabama’s historic Rails to Trails courses with stunning natural beauty and shaded and wooded trails. Whether you’re pursuing a personal record or taking your first courageous step to run long-distance, the Highlands College Half Marathon offers an inclusive, community race weekend for runners from every walk of life and experience level.

Join us for the 2nd Annual Torch Run! Rally together for a Family Mile or 5k Trail Run!

The Torch Run is a high-energy, family-friendly celebration featuring an activity for the whole family! Put on by Tabernacle Christian School's Parent Teacher Organization, this family friendly event brings a great opportunity to support a great cause!

Participate in a Family Mile which is great for those who desire a paved run or walk for all ages! Only 1 mile and great for strollers, too!

Those looking for a more challenging route, join us for a scenic 5k Trail Run on mixed terrain!

With participants ranging from casual walkers to competitive runners, this event draws families and athletes from Gardendale, Northern Alabama, and throughout the greater Birmingham area!

Come enjoy great music, vendors, food and games, too!

June is PTSD Awareness month, and Sojourn Counseling will be raising funds to expand our reach in the community and shine a light on PTS awareness. Help us reach our financial goal and support those in our community who are affected by Post Traumatic Stress.

Join us for a 5k Run, a 40+ road cycling Ride, or 1.5 hour motorcycle Rumble, followed by a celebration with live music from Shur Shot DJs, door prizes, and lunch catered by Chuy's Mexican Restaurant at Cahaba Brewing Co.

Trick or Trot 5K

Kid One Transport's 13th Annual Trick or Trot 5k will have both in person and virtual option.

The In Person Race will occur on Oct 24th at Back Forty Brewing at 8 AM. Don't want to run or wake up on Saturday morning? You can still support the Kid One Transport Trick or Trot 5k with the virtual option.

We will have packet pick up at Back Forty Brewing on Oct. 23, 2024.

Get into the Halloween spirit at the 13^th Annual Trick or Trot 5K benefiting Kid One Transport! The Trick or Trot 5K is a costume run that traditionally takes place in downtown Birmingham, Alabama through the streets of the Lakeview District.

The event includes 5K, a costume contest (social media), & a tshirt. Runners of all ages, strollers and pets are welcome!

Awards

The Trick or Trot 5K awards will honor the top three male and female runners overall, as well as the top male and female masters. Additionally, the top three male and female finishers in each age group will be recognized. The age groups are divided as follows: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. This ensures a broad range of participants have the opportunity to be acknowledged for their achievements.

There will be awards given for Biggest Team (Community and Corporate), Most Spirited Team (Best Costumes), Most Spirited Individual (Best Costume), Most Spirited Kid (Best Costume), and Most Spirited Pet & Owner (Best Costume)! Costumes are not required to participate but are encouraged - the more spirited the better!

In the event that the Trick or Trot 5K cannot run as planned in person, all registrants will continue as virtual race participants.

All proceeds from the Trick or Trot 5K benefit Kid One Transport and will raise funds to provide transportation to medical care for children and expectant mothers throughout Alabama.
