The Great Pumpkin Run for Bennett 5k

Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 8am

Levy Park, 403 East 3rd Street,

Crowley, LA 70526

We will be hosting a 5k run to benefit Bennett James Guidry, son of David and Joelle Guidry, and the INADcure Foundation.

Bennett was diagnosed with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD) shortly after his 3rd birthday. A portion of funds raised will help his family purchase necessary medical equipment along with making home modifications to give Bennett the best home environment.

The INADCure Foundation is working diligently with scientists and researchers to develop gene therapy as a possible treatment for INAD (which currently has no treatment options). A large portion of funds raised will go directly to the INADCure Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit foundation, in support of their valiant efforts to cure this terrible, terminal disease. Please visit PumpkinsforBenny.org, for more information regarding INAD and ways to help.

Join us at Levy Park in Crowley from 8am - noon on Saturday, November 15th for a family fun morning. Aside from the 5k, we will have food, activities for the kids, a bake sale, auction/raffle items and music.

    This is a backyard-style ultramarathon.

At the top of every hour, participants will complete a 4.2-mile loop. When the hour is up, runners line up and do it again. The loop continues hour after hour—not until a set distance is reached, but until only one runner remains.

The final runner standing must then complete one last solo 4.2-mile loop. If they don’t, the result is a DNF. Only one finisher. One winner.

    Lottery Entry Details

    • Entry is by lottery only

    • 60 participants will be selected

    • The lottery opens January 2 at 9:00 AM

    • The lottery closes January 4 at 3:00 PM

    • You will NOT be charged when you enter; payment is only collected if you are selected

    • Selected runners will be notified on January 5 at 5:00 PM

If you’re chosen, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the next steps.
