What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?

The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! For more information on the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, please visit t2t.org.

This will be the Inaugural Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk here in Palatka, Florida, and we are excited to bring our community together to honor first responders, our servicemen and servicewomen, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers’ programs.

Additional Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walks in Florida include Orlando, Clearwater, Ft. Myers, St. Augustine, and many more! Check out our website for more Florida T2T events!

The Keystone residents value their community and are active in all areas including schools, sports, churches, library and local events. Keystone Heights is a "commuters town" since many of the residents commute daily to work within a 50-mile radius surrounding the city. The Game On! St. Augustine Triathlon, presented by Bowen Hanes Company, Inc., returns to Vilano Beach Oceanfront Park on Sunday, July 26, 2026. This destination race offers athletes of all levels a scenic and challenging course in the heart of Florida’s historic coast.

For more than two centuries, Vilano Beach has been the beach that locals go to. It’s a choice spot north of St. Augustine popular for its casual atmosphere, quiet ambiance, and natural surroundings. To get to Vilano Beach, you must take the scenic route. And by that, we mean coastal AIA, a designated All-American Road. This Byway supports a variety of wildlife including birds, the gopher tortoise, and endangered species.

This destination race will be hosted at Vilano Beach and will include an Olympic distance Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquabike as well as the Sprint Triathlon and Sprint Duathlon. The swim will take place in the Atlantic Ocean, with a scenic bike course taking you North on A1A through the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTM Research Reserve). Finish with a run through the tropical "Keys-like" neighborhood and along the Vilano Beach Nature Boardwalk with amazing views of the wetlands and the collection of mosaic art of local wildlife.
