Murabella Kids Triathlon

Join K9s United on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 at the Ring Power Corporate Headquarters complex, St. Augustine, for the K9s United 9K for K9s. This annual event will include the 1 mile fun run (untimed), the classic 5k and our challenging 9k! Both the 5k and 9k will be chip timed with awards for the top runners in each category. All the runs are open to runners and walkers of all levels. Can't make it out on race day, that's okay...we are offering a "NO EXCUSE" Virtual 1 Mile, 5k, or 9k options, so you can still be part of the fun, earn a T-shirt and medal, all the while supporting a great cause.

In addition to the race there will be amazing post-race activities for the whole family including kids arts and crafts, a K9 photo booth to get your picture taken with your favorite K9 Hero, and everyone’s favorite, a K9 demonstration that will be bigger and better than ever.

RUN FOR FREE! If you raise $100 or more through our fundraising portal, you get to run in the race of your choice for free! This is a great way to support our K9 Heroes and receive a great reward yourself.

REMINDER: Since our race is to benefit Law Enforcement K9s, we only allow service dogs to come. There will be several police k9 units present from surrounding agencies.. We want our K9s to have the freedom to participate in the run as well as the K9 demonstration afterwards.

100% of the proceeds will benefit K9s United an organization that is committed to supporting and honoring K9 law enforcement officers who detect, protect and serve our communities by giving them the best equipment, amenities, and quality of life during and after their service, and memorializing those who give the ultimate sacrifice. K9s United is dedicated to providing the necessary equipment and training K9 law enforcement officers need in order to protect communities across the country, as well as memorializing those who give the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

All roads closest to the facility will be closed at 7:45 AM – please do not be late!

Event Description

Get ready for an exciting swim, bike, and run adventure at the Just Tri It! Kids Triathlon! This chip-timed event is a great way for kids ages 5-14 to experience a real triathlon in a fun and supportive environment.

Age Group Distances

Ages 5-8: Swim: 50 meters (2 pool lengths)

Bike: 1 mile

Run: 0.5 mile

Ages 9-11: Swim: 100 meters (4 pool lengths)

Bike: 1 mile

Run: 1 mile

Ages 12-14: Swim: 150 meters (6 pool lengths)

Bike: 1 mile

Run: 1.5 miles

NEW for 2026! The Tri4Fun division:

Do this event WITH your Child! Totally Fun, Non-Scored or Timed Division. Open to Children and Adults Ages 5 & Up! You must purchase One Entry each for Adult or Child.

Participants must bring their own bikes and helmets – no training wheels allowed!

Race Day Information

Arrival & Parking: Park in the designated area between the baseball fields and Osceola Rd. Look for signs upon arrival.

Check-In: Visit the registration tent at the front of the facility upon arrival.

Opening Ceremony: Begins at 7:55 AM – we will go over the race-course and event details.

Swimming:

• Athletes should arrive wearing their swimsuits

• Athletes exit the pool and transition to the picnic table area where their shirts, towels, socks, and shoes will be placed.

Biking:

• Kids will run to their bikes (which should be labeled with their name) and put on their helmet.

• They will complete a marked bike loop before transitioning to the final run.

Running:

• It is recommended that the athletes wear running or tennis shoes to participate in

Results & Photos

Finishing times will be recorded using race bibs – bibs must be worn on the front of shirts.

This 3.1-mile course will take participants through the streets surrounding Francis Field in St. Augustine, FL, offering a lively atmosphere to get moving, sweat, and celebrate community. Whether you are a seasoned runner chasing a new personal record, a casual jogger, or walking with friends and family, this 5K is for you.

Lets get our Kids to compete in a Swim Run Race!

This part of the Florida Race Day Kids Triathlon/ Duathlon Series - We limit these races to kids ages 5-14 only and to only 100 athletes and do sell out so we advise if you are interested to register early.

Kids Swim Run Race participants will swim laps in the pool and off to their feet for the running portion until they finish under the Arch to complete their achievement. The events will be chip timed with a finisher time.

Distances are based on the age of the child. The events will go off with each participant getting a total net time. For the first stage swimmers will be crossing a timing mat before they begin swim portion. Kids Swim Run Race start time is 9:00 am, Race distance is determined by child's age ( see below)

Ages 5-8 - SWIM 50 yards ( 2 lengths ) in pool, Run approximately .28 miles

Ages 9-11 - SWIM 100 yards ( 4 lengths) in pool, Run Approximately .55 miles

Ages 12-14 - SWIM 150 yards ( 6 lengths) in pool, Run approximately .80 miles

Before the event starts will be going over the course for parents and athletes. This will take place at 8:30 am

Kids receive a Kids Swim Run Race Shirt, Florida Race Day Finisher medal, Race Photos. Finishing results will be posted online. Costs for Kids triathlon start at $45 register early to save money and guarantee a spot.

Awards will be given out to top 3 male and 3 female of each age group.

We are part of a growing list race organizers that strive to be more environmentally conscious . We encourage all runners to bring their own multiple use water bottle so that we do not add to the mounting plastic waste on earth. Please bring a reusable water bottle that you will bring with you during the race or for afterwards. You may refill your bottle at our water jug. Plastic water bottles will be available after the race but we are trying to reduce our footprint. <<<

• Friday race prep for the Bridge of Lions 5k on July 11, 2026

• Parents are free to join workout sessions

We will prepare to run the Bridge of Lions 5k on July 11th 2026. Participants of the camp will get a $10 discount and can register for Bridge of Lions 5k at the following link:
