    Join us for the 2026 MoVal Runs 2nd Anniversary 5K as MoVal Runs comes together to celebrate 2 years of run club with a 5K race!

    The event will take place alongside the scenic Lake Perris trail, on an out-and-back course. It starts on the paved trail located along the lake, taking you towards the dam before turning around and heading to our finish line. This is a completely flat course, ready for you to set your next personal record. Event registration includes an event t shirt (if registered before June 7th), custom bib, custom finisher medal, race day photos, awards ceremony for top finishers and complimentary finish line drinks & snacks. Our finish line area will feature multiple booths from local sponsors including fresh juice, coffee, athletic apparel, and community services. This race is for runners & walkers of all abilities, from your first 5K to elite runners looking for a fast race.

    MoVal Runs is a community run club in Moreno Valley that hosts weekly meet ups at local parks. Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment for all runners to enjoy with the main goal of creating awesome races with a low entry fee. This is a huge step towards our goal and we thank you for supporting our run club.

    This is our 5th major racing event and registration will be maxed out at 250 registrants, so register early to ensure a spot.

    The 2026 MoVal Runs 2nd Anniversary 5K takes place on Saturday, June 27th @ 8:00AM.

    $20 park entry fee per vehicle, carpooling is encouraged! This fee is separate from our registration and is paid to Lake Perris Recreation area at the entrance gate of the park.

    Please bring an ID or email confirmation for bib pickup!

    5K Race @ 8:00AM

    Awards Ceremony @ 9:15AM

    All registered runners will receive a custom 2026 2nd Anniversary finisher medal!

    AWARD CATEGORIES:

    (NEW) 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place medal for 40+ Male & Female.

    1st, 2nd, & 3rd place medal for 30-39 Male & Female.

    1st, 2nd, & 3rd place medal for 18-29 Male & Female.

    1st, 2nd, & 3rd place medal for 17 & under Male & Female.

    Strollers and dogs are welcomed, but please start towards the back of the pack. Children in strollers do not need to register unless a finisher medal is desired.

    Gift bag for 1st place Male & Female overall!

    There will be a water station at the halfway point and we will have complimentary drinks & snacks at the start/finish line.

    7:00 AM: Early Start Half Marathon (for those expecting to take 3.75+ hours)

    This is a breathtaking mountain race in the heart of the San Bernardino National Forest!

    Start with a scenic ยพ-mile out-and-back along the lake

    Climb gradually up Green Valley Lake Rd and onto a forest service road

    Enjoy a 400 ft elevation gain to an overlook at the 5K turnaround

    10K and Half Marathon continue along rolling terrain on FS Road 2N13, through pine forests and rocky vistas

    Course is part paved (1.5 miles), then transitions to dirt roads and trail

    Water & aid stations every 1.5 miles

    Get ready for that fresh air, mountain-made, above-the-clouds experience!

    "THE WALL" at Snow Summit in beautiful Big Bear Lake is the longest, hardest mile you will ever run! 1,000 foot climb starting at 7000' elevation.

    There are many awards for all age categories and for this years 10th annual run there will be additional special awards. Top male & female get $100 cash. Team discounts available. Free chair lift back down for all participants. Bring money to enjoy lunch (& drinks) on the deck at the top of the mountain at the "Tap House".

    1 mile course is on dirt fire road and steep undeveloped hillside.

    Free parking at the base.

    Free chair lift down for all participants. Spectators can purchase discounted chair lift up & down (or take free trail).

    Waivers must be signed in person at packet pick up.

    Packet pick up Friday at Mystic Rose from 4:00 - 7:00 pm or Saturday at Snow Summit before race.
