Lakeside Loop 5k & 10k

Join us for the Risen Angels 5K/10k — a paved run that celebrates community, courage, and commitment. Lace up your shoes and race in honor of someone special that is not with us anymore. All donations will directly support medical and health programs and services. Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, you're making a difference.

Race Starts: 7am but please arrive a hour early for bib pick up

Race Check-in Location: 4601 Annapolis Rd, Bladensburg, MD 20710. An alternative way to locate the event is GPS using this latitudinal and longitudinal pin:

Packet Pickup: Packet pickup is available at the event. We recommend arriving one hour before the race start to check in and receive your race bib.

Awards: We will award the top three men and women finalist during our post race award ceremony.

Photos: Race photos will be available the next day

Swag Bag: Swag Bag is included in the price, you will receive it after you cross the finish line

Water Station: Water stations will be along the trail.

Please note that race shirts are guaranteed to runners registered before August 1, 2026. We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.

10k Race Course: Risen Angels 10k Race Course

Grab your capes and tights and join us on September 27, 2026 for our Superhero 5k!

This scenic 5k route is along Sligo Creek Parkway and Sligo Creek Trail. The route is stroller-friendly, and walkers are welcome to attend.

Proceeds from the event go directly to help the kids in our programs in southwest Uganda. Learn more about what we do here: www.christalis.org.

Our 5k race timing is by Bishop's Events. Bishop's Events Points for this event count towards their Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series. Points will also count towards their Summer Series. Please note that Bishop's Events promo/discount codes cannot be used to register for this event.

Join the Hyattsville Elementary School PTA for the 10th annual Zombie Run!

The 10th anniversary Hyattsville Zombie Run will be held in Driskell Park on October 18th! This fun, family-friendly event includes three races: a 1K Family Fun Run, a 1 Mile Kids Run, and a USATF certified 5K, all of which raise funds for our neighborhood schools! The Hyattsville Zombie Run is organized by volunteers of the Hyattsville Elementary School PTA.
