    We're heading south—Cleveland-style—for the Little Carolina run on June 20th! While we’re not making the trip to the real Carolinas, we are bringing the southern vibes to the Cleveland Metroparks

    with this fun, summer evening race.

    How This Event Works

    🏃‍♂️ This event features a 5K loop!.

    • During registration, participants choose which distance they want to accomplish on race day

    • At the finish line, participants will receive a finisher medal and a distance button to adhere to their ribbon to commemorate the distance they accomplished

    • Hiking, Rucking, Walking, Running, and any speed is allowed.

    After the race, stick around for a lively afterparty featuring live bluegrass music and a beer garden to toast your miles.

    • The loops and start/finish will pass amongst the festivities for an atmosphere you won't want to miss

    Event Timeline

    • 4:30 PM – Packet Pick-Up begins

    • 6:00 PM – Race starts, beer garden opens, and live music kicks off

    • 8:35 PM – Runners must have started final loop

    • 9:00 PM – Event concludes and sweep of course for final runners

    In 2026, the Parma Run-Walk for Pierogies will turn FIFTEEN years old! Once again, many charities and community projects will be recipients of the proceeds. Guaranteed to the first 600 participants:

    our signature t-shirt, pierogies on site from Perla Pierogies along with a certificate for free pierogies courtesy of Parma’s own Perla Pierogies. We will also have icey, wet towels to cool you off right after the finish line. The top three women and men in our many age categories will win our famous pierogie necklace award. Our event takes place on the very flat Tri-C West Campus conveniently located at 11000 West Pleasant Valley Road. We hope you will join us on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

    The Ohio Scottish Games & Celtic Festival in Cleveland is hosting their first ever 5k Run! Come on down to the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds to compete in an inaugural event to

    celebrate Celtic heritage and support the Ohio Scottish Arts School. Come for the race, stay for the festival complete with heavy athletics, Renaissance Village, and some of the best Celtic music around!

    Want to get the full Scottish Games experience? Come ready to race wearing your best kilt! Although not required, awards will be given out to fastest kilt-wielding runners in both the 1 Mile and 5k runs!

    Please join us for the Achievement Centers for Children’s 36th Annual A Most Excellent Race at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville!

    New for 2026: Anyone who registers after June 14, 2026 will not be

    guaranteed a shirt and sizes will be subject to availability on event day.

    The Camp Cheerful Classic is back for 2026! This spirited dash/walk is open to our CampTherapeutic Horsemanship, Adapted Sports, River Rock, and all other ACC clients on the grounds of Camp Cheerful at 8:30am on race day. This event is free for our client participants! Register online today!

    Registration and Check-In

    Check-In opens at 7:30 a.m. All participants are to check in at the registration tent to receive your bib and t-shirt. Additional donations accepted on race day.

    The Camp Cheerful Classic, a non competitive dash/walk for our clients will kick off at 8:30 am.

    Race Start

    The Race will begin at 9.00 a.m.

    Parking

    Parking is at the Best Western Hotel 15471 Royalton Road, Strongsville. Shuttle buses will provide round trip transportation to Camp Cheerful.

    Please look for the Shuttle signs in the hotel parking lot. Please allot yourself time to shuttle to Camp Cheerful.

    Handicapped participants will have parking available at Camp Cheerful.

    The entrance to Camp is on a single lane bridge, please look for and follow volunteer instruction when entering or exiting.

    Dogs

    Only qualified service animals are permitted at Camp Cheerful.

    Strollers

    Strollers are permitted on the course.

    Family Activities

    Weather permitting, we will have limited family activities to include a coloring station, craft and athletic balls for play in the field.

    Food and Beverage

    Water and snacks will be provided.

    VIRTUAL RUN

    Want to participate from out of town? You still can! Complete the 5K or 10kk on your own. Run or walk, outdoors or on a treadmill – you choose!

    If you would like to submit your 5K result, please click HERE prior to our race day on June 28.

    Virtual event participants can live anywhere! Please feel free to invite family and friends from around the country to join you.

    Awards

    Awards will be distributed at the awards tent. Scan the QR code at the tent to see your results and you can pick up at the awards tent beginning at 930am. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards.
