  The Course Experience

  Forget the relentless rock-hopping and jagged technical climbs. The Watuppa course is built for flow and speed, featuring:

  • Fast Grassy Fire Lanes: Wide, open stretches where you can really open up your stride and find your rhythm.

  • Winding Single Track: Smooth, flowing paths that tuck into the forest, offering just enough twist and turn to keep things exciting without slowing you down.

  We offer three distinct distances to cater to every level of runner:

  • 50K & 30K: Perfect for those looking to transition into ultra-distances or seasoned vets wanting a fast, runnable course to set a personal best.

  • 10K: A spirited, scenic loop that is perfect for everyone. It offers enough speed for the seasoned trail runner to push their limits, while remaining approachable and fun for new trail runners looking to get off the pavement.

Featuring a 10K run, a 5K run, and a 1-mile family walk, this event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels to come together for a meaningful cause. Miles of Kindness supports programs, resources, and community initiatives. Percentages of registration proceeds go directly to these organizations' teams!   Proceeds to benefit the Bristol Warren Education Foundation

  Join us for what is fast becoming one of the most fun local road races! The family friendly event offers a race for all ages and abilities. The 5k and 10k courses are USATF Certified and will start and finish on the grounds at the Pete Sepe Pavilion, taking runners on a scenic run out toward Touisett Point, past picturesque farms and quaint stone walls. We will continue to offer our 1-Mile Walk on the Bike Path and of course Kids Obstacle Races too! All followed by a East Bay Food festival, beer garden, live music - all to benefit the Bristol Warren Education Foundation

  Every runner will receive 2 food coupons and one drink coupon on their bib. The food coupons can be redeemed for select items at food vendors and the drink coupon can be redeemed for an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage at the Molson Coors Beer Garden.

  Courses:

  • USATF Certified 10k & 5k courses start on the grounds of the Pete Sepe Pavilion follow the Bike Path to Long Lane and on out through Touisset. Both races will be chip timed.

  • 1-Mile Walk on Bike Path to Long Lane (or further if you wish) and return.

  • Kids Obstacle Course Races - on the grounds of the Pete Sepe Pavilion.

  10k & 5k Awards:

  • First overall male and female finishers

  • First male and female overall finishers in age groups:

  9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & up

  ****TEAM AWARDS - The team that raises the most money, the fastest team (minimum of 3 members, fastest average pace), and the team with the most team spirit (can include costumes and overall enthusiasm) will receive special recognition!

  Join us in honoring a true Somerset trailblazer!

  The Somerset Economic Development Committee is proud to host the Shirley May France 10K Road Race, celebrating the legacy of hometown hero Shirley May France. As a determined teenager, Shirley captured national attention with her two courageous attempts to swim the English Channel in 1948 and 1949—coming within just one mile of making history on her second try. Her spirit of perseverance continues to inspire generations.

  This scenic 10K course winds through the heart of Somerset, beginning and ending on historic Riverside Avenue. Runners will loop around Dublin Street, High Street, and South Street, before crossing the finish line at Comfort Zone Grille & Bar, where a lively after-party awaits racers and spectators alike.

  This year we are also offering 5k and 1 mile races along historic Riverside Avenue sporting scenic water views.

  A Race with a Mission: Supporting Local

  Proudly presented by Bank Five, this event is more than a run—it’s a rally for our community. Our 2026 charity of choice is, The Cure Starts Now - Somerset chapter. Led by Ken and Michelle Oheman in honor of their late daughter Selina. The Cure Starts Now raises money for research on pediatric brain cancer. We are proud to help support such a wonderful cause that has had a profound affect on our community. The race is also designed to spotlight and stimulate business for the local establishments that make Somerset shine.
