FAITH IS OUR SHIELD. HEALING IS OUR MISSION. "Put on the full armor of God." Ephesians 6:11

Our mission is to stand as Avengers defending Mental Health- called to take our place, put on the full armor of God, and stand firm in faith. We recognize that the battle for mental wellness is real, but it is not fought alone. Guided by God's strength, inspired by courage of Avengers and protected by His armor, we unite to raise awareness, break stigma, and support healing for those affected by mental health challenges and PTSD. The fight belongs to the Lord, and together, we walk forward with courage, hope and faith. Guided by faith and united in purpose, we stand as defenders-protecting minds, restoring hope and walking together toward healing.

"For the battle is not yours, but God's." 2 Chronicles 20:15

Join us for the 5th Annual 910; Brett J Morris Avenger Foundation Defenders of Mental Health 5K, where faith meets action. Together, we run to break stigma, raise awareness, and stand strong for those battling mental health challenges and PTSD. We invite participants of all ages to become DEFENDERS of MENTAL HEALTH for a day of fun, fellowship, and impact.

    FAQ

    Q. What is a 6.19k?

    A. It is a "long 5k". With Juneteenth being June 19th (6/19), we wanted a distance was representative of the date and one that was a little more challenging than a "normal" 5k. But not too long as to require additional training or preparation. If you can finish a 5k, the extra half-mile won't be too much of a challenge.

    Q. What is a 1.9k?

    A. Sticking with our Juneteenth theme, the 1.9k is just a little bit over a mile aka a "long mile". This distance was picked because it should be easily walked in 20 minutes or less, it is perfect for families or those who don't want to go the whole 6.19k distance.

    Q. Is this event family friendly?

    A. Both distances and courses are designed with those who may prefer to walk instead of run, but if you feel like running the shorter distance, we won't stop you. So yes, both distances are family friendly! You can also bring well behaved dogs and strollers to this event. Runners 18 and under get a discount on all our race distances, with those under 12 running for just $15!

    Q. What is the route?

    A. The 6.19k 2026 route is being finalized but expect it to be similar to last year's route. Details are coming soon!
