Our Orientation Runs are fun opportunities to prepare for your Squamish 50 weekend. Bring some friends or meet some new ones! We even have a ‘light’ aid station for each run courtesy of Nesters Market and Näak, with gel, energy drink, water, Coke, chips, cookies, bananas, and oranges. We check everyone in, and make sure you emerge from the wilderness safely at the end.

As part of our ongoing support of SORCA, we charge a $10 donation for O-Runs, which goes 100% towards SORCA trail maintenance. The $10 donation is a minimum – feel free to donate more if you’re so inclined. It all goes to the trails!

For this orientation run, you can add some distance and challenge by including the DeBeck's Hill loop, then continuing on the same course from there.

Maximum of 200 participants. Not restricted to registered runners. Online registration will close at 6pm on April 18, 2026. Race morning sign up may be available if we're not sold out, by cash only.

O-Run #2 is 25 km from Capra Running Co onto Coho Trail, following the 50 mile course until the bottom of Entrails where we pop out onto Mashiter. From there we detour off the SQ50 course to take Roller Coaster, Lumber Jacks and Trestle Trail back to Capra.

please see map for how to add 3km to your run on the day. Please note the 3km addition up and over Debeck’s will not be marked for this run, so you’ll need to follow a GPS route on your watch, or know the course in advance of the day

Please arrive at least fifteen minutes early. Parking is available in the Capra complex parking lot. Grab a coffee and check out Capra for all your trail running needs.

Due to new consumer legislation, prices are now shown inclusive of all fees.

Final checkout will show actual pricing and fees separately.

Salomon Coast Mountain Trail Running (CMTR) hosts quality, challenging, professionally-run trail events in world-class destinations around BC's Lower Mainland and Thompson-Okanagan regions.

    Survival of the Fittest

A fantastic loop from the incredibly scenic Capilano University (formerly Quest) lands in Squamish, BC. With a generous mix of climbing, descending, runnable and technical, these courses have it all. Views across the valley at the dominant Tantalus Mountain Range are presented via both distances.

Our 18 km option has seen all of the top local talent race it over the years, and as such, the course records are incredibly stout. The 35 km option has become an early-season favourite for those pursuing longer distances with their summer running goals.

    Registration closes at 600 participants.

$5 from every registration goes to support Squamish Search & Rescue. Additional donations welcome. As well, one tree will be planted locally for every registration, in partnership with a Fraser Valley rehabilitation project.

Our Kids Race is a ~1km run designed for ages 3-10 with special kids' bibs and finisher stickers. Registration is free and is available online or on race morning. During registration, we offer parents the opportunity to donate to Butterfly Support Network, a local organization that supports families dealing with pregnancy and infant loss.

NOTE: Most CMTR events now offer ITRA points; UTMB points are no longer available
