Mondays Run Club started in April 2021 with an invitation to connection, not competition. A 5K along the Vancouver seawall and a beer after, no timers, no pressure, just people craving belonging. Founded on the belief that movement, belonging, and the courage to show up matter most, especially when life feels heavy, Mondays Run Club has grown to more than 100 runners gathering every Monday. From first-timers to trail runners, they are held together by warmth, consistency, and leaders who genuinely care. Every Monday at 5:30 PM, seven pace groups set off from somewhere new in Vancouver. The route changes, but the welcome never does.

What began as a joke between friends living near Fraser Street became Vancouver's most community-driven run club. Founded in November 2013 by Michelle, Jesse, Cody, and Kat, Fraser Street Run Club has grown to more than 100 runners who believe in keeping it social, sustainable, and open to everyone. The crew attracts people of all levels who love trails, city streets, and the conversations that happen along the way. Every Friday at 7 PM from East 17th Ave and Tuesdays at the Eric Hamber Track, the same philosophy guides them: get people moving and keep the community strong.

In April 2014, a few Vancouver runners training for a half-marathon discovered something unexpected: post-run beers tasted better when shared. What started as a casual reward after training sessions quickly evolved into East Van Run Crew, founded by Ryan as a gathering place where running meets friendship and laughter. Today, EVRC anchors Vancouver's running culture with radical inclusivity at its core. Every Monday, the crew assembles at a rotating local brewery for group runs that double as social adventures, mixing trail time with community connection. There's no hierarchy here, no pressure to chase splits or PRs. Instead, EVRC celebrates movement for movement's sake, drawing runners of every pace and experience level into a space where judgment dissolves and camaraderie thrives. Beyond the weekly runs, the crew organizes grassroots charity races that funnel energy back into the neighborhoods they love. East Van Run Crew has become proof that running is never just about the miles, it's about who you run them with.
