Friends of TJ 5K Fun Run

We are thrilled to welcome everyone back for another year of community and competition. This annual event is a vital fundraiser for the Wayne Rotary, helping us secure the funds necessary to support our local community. Continuing our long-standing tradition, a portion of the race proceeds will be awarded to the Wayne Area High School running programs.

Race Highlights

• Known for being super-fast and flat, our course adjacent the Our Lady of the Valley Church is back in the spotlight and available to provide your next PR!

• We are honored to once again host a USATF Championship in 2026. The Rotary is super excited to welcome the USATF and their competitive Coed Teams back to for a second year.

• Costco will once again sponsor the event with a smorgasbord of baked good! There is something delicious for everyone.

• The Awards & After Party will be held at the Village Inn!

*In order to be eligible, for an endowment interested HS Track/Running team must participate in this event.

Midland Park, NJ #LightUpMBC COLOR Walk ​May 31, 2026 Join us May 31 for an unforgettable event the whole family will enjoy! The festivities will feature a 1-mile color run/walk (no experience necessary). The event will start with a Color Blaze color-powder toss, and then participants will pass through pink, teal and green color stations where they will be sprayed with Color Blaze color powder by volunteers. There will also be a DJ, food, giveaways, and fun children's activities. We hope to see you at this meaningful event to raise funds to find a cure for metastatic breast cancer. There are several ways to get involved in this event: 1. Register to participate in this event. You have the option to participate individually, create a team or join an existing team. 2. Every dollar goes toward saving lives! You can register for the race now, choose if you want to join a team and then you will receive an email how to set up your fundraising page. Please feel free to join Tara's Quest to The Cure, any other team that pertains to you or create a new team if you prefer. (Ex: Girl/Boy Scout troops, Ajax, The Kuipers Family, co-workers, etc.). The Pompton Lakes PBA Local 161 invites you to our 1st 5K Run/Walk.This family-friendly event is open to runners and walkers of all levels.

• Check in begins at 8:00 A.M. and the race starts at 9:00 A.M.

• First 100 people to register will receive a t-shirt.

• Age group medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female times in each age group:

• 15 and under

• 16-19

• 20-29

• 30-39

• 40-49

• 50-59

• 60-69

• 70+

A 5k run and Kids Fun Run through the beautiful streets of Glen Rock. Athletes will enjoy running this community event on July 4th prior to the start of the parade and then get to stick around to enjoy the parade itself.

Proceeds go to benefit G.R.A.C.E. An organization set up after 911 to provide assistance to family members of those who died in the terrorist attacks. Today, G.R.A.C.E. continues its hard work by maintaining the 911 Memorial in town, and providing scholarship funds to High School Seniors in memory of Glen Rock's eleven victims.
