This hallmark event for Granville Island and the Vancouver running community brings runners together in a celebration of Thanksgiving, demonstrating our community of running, gratitude for the sport, and our commitment to supporting others. Event capacity is limited due to the unique start and finish on Granville Island and is expected to hit capacity limits early once again.

Also, newly enjoy savings on entry to the Jerome Classic event in July when you bundle a spectator ticket to the World Athletics Continental Tour event at Swangard Stadium. Learn more and also join us in July at the Jerome Classic.

Join us on February 21, 2027 for the return of RunGo Dash for Dogs — a fun, community-focused 2K/5K/10K winter trail event celebrating the joy of walking or running, dogs, supporting a great cause, and the outdoors.

RunGo Dash for Dogs proudly supports BC & Alberta Guide Dogs, helping raise funds for their life-changing programs that provide professionally trained guide and service dogs at no cost to recipients. Thanks to the incredible generosity of participants, sponsors, volunteers, and donors, Dash for Dogs has raised over $220,000 in the past 13 years. The 2026 event alone raised over $30,000 in support of their mission — and we’re excited to build on that momentum in 2027.

Participants can expect:

• Scenic winter trail routes in Stanley Park

• A welcoming and inclusive atmosphere

• Post-run pancakes

• Post-race festivities: Lots of prizes, giveaways, good tunes, community partners, blindfolded walks with guide dogs, guide dog puppies, and more

• Opportunities to support an important community cause – raise money for a chance to win one of our amazing door prizes

Dogs are welcome to join their humans on course (well-behaved and leashed), making this a unique event for runners and four-legged companions alike. This is a low-key self-timed event. The course will be fully flagged and course marshals will be on course to direct runners. A RunGo audio guide of the course is also available.

This event continues to be inspired in part by the spirit of Guide Dog Dynasty, whose gentle nature helped shape the heart of Dash for Dogs from the beginning.

Whether you run, walk, volunteer, or cheer from the sidelines, we can’t wait to welcome you to the 2027 edition of Dash for Dogs.

PACKET PICKUP:

• Early Packet Pickup: Friday, February 19, 3:00pm-6:00pm (Running Room, 1514 Robson St, Vancouver)

• Race Day: Opens at 8:30 am (at Brockton Pavilion)

• No Race Day registration

Hypothermic Half Vancouver - 2027

Run 21.1km, 10km or 5km

Race Day Participation:

The Vancouver Hypothermic Half is a measured course with hydration stations for all distances.

Every entry includes a post-race brunch hosted inside Stanley Park Pavilion at the start and finish line.

We offer a great after-party for all the race participants.

The event is chip-timed. Official results will be posted after the event at Startline Timing.

Brunch is included with in-person event registrations.

All Participants Receive Hypo Swag, & Finishers Medal!

All in-person participants will have the opportunity to win a pair of Altra running shoes. Two pairs will be available at each location.

The Running Room Events Team is excited to announce that we will be hosting in-person events in select cities in 2027. If you can't attend in person, don’t worry—we also offer a Virtual Hypothermic Half option.
