5k Run Walk

Join us for the 13th annual Bunny Dash 5k! This race will again be held Easter weekend--Saturday, April 4th.

Pre-registered individuals can pick up their shirts and CHIP TIMER starting at 8am at the Portage Football Stadium. The race will begin at 9 am. All runners/walkers will travel through our town of Portage: past the football stadium, up to Main Street, and through Crichton McCormick Park. The 5k will end with a lap through the football stadium.

Once you cross the finish line, every participant has the opportunity to win a prize from a local business. We will have prizes that range from free pizzas to a lottery ticket! This is made possible through all of the great businesses in Portage. There will also be an awards ceremony following the end of the race. Awards will be provided to winners in each age group.

This race is for the entire family! Whether you want to challenge yourself, or try to make a new, healthy family tradition, the Bunny Dash is the way to do it!

Again this year!!! Chip timing provided by Gingerbread Man Timing Company. Everyone who is registered will receive a bib with a chip in it. Once you cross the finish line, your time will be automatically added to our electronic spreadsheet. This will provide you with quick, accurate times.

Hurry to sign up! We are going to cap off our registration at 500.

For up-to-date info, find us on Facebook!

THE DIRTY KILN TRAIL RACES ARE BACK FOR OUR 13TH RUNNING!

JOIN US APRIL 11TH, 2026 FOR EITHER OUR 10K RACE OR TACKLE OUR HALF-MARATHON COURSE.

The 143th “Dirty Kiln Trail Races at Canoe Creek State Park” brought to you by Allegheny Trailrunners, Inc. will be Saturday, April 11th, 2026! Trail runners will have a choice to run the short course up Moore’s Hill and around the lake or the long course around the park a second time but on a more hilly and challenging half-marathon course! Both courses have a lot of variety of trails from wide paths, winding singletrack, stream crossings and mud… lots of mud.

Allegheny Trailrunners is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization and its officers are all volunteers and are not compensated for our work. All net proceeds from our events are proudly contributed to carefully predetermined charities and other non-profit organizations at the end of the year. But we do like to reward our participants – especially since Dirty Kiln has been an introductory race toward trailrunning.

We have a very detailed website at http://www.alleghenytrailrunners.com/dirty-kiln-trail-race/ with course details, maps, and much more.

    REFUND POLICY

Participants are eligible for a 50% refund of the race fee minus RunSignup fees until 3/11/2026. We will not do deferrals or bib transfers. No same-day signups for this event.

The Path of the Flood Historic races commemorate the Flood of 1889 in Johnstown, PA. The runners have spoken and the event will continue annually! This year marks the 25th anniversary of the historic Staple Bend Tunnel, which runners of the 14-mile and 8-mile will journey through.

A Flood of Runners returns to Johnstown, PA every year for the Path of the Flood Historic Races! Experience the Path of the historic 1889 Johnstown Flood in its entirety with the 14 Miler or in small droplets through the 5K or 8 Miler races. See the resiliency of the communities of South Fork, Mineral Point, the boroughs and the City of Johnstown. Run through Staple Bend Tunnel, the first railroad tunnel in the United States. Finish at the Old Stone Bridge, which still stands after stopping the majority of the flood's energy. Our hybrid road/rail trail course beckons you to be a part of history once again!

The Path of the Flood Historic Races is hosted in partnership by the Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority and Heritage Johnstown. All proceeds from the Path of The Flood Historic Races will benefit the CCCRA Friends of the Trails program, a program which exists to enhance the Cambria County trails, and preserving the history of the Johnstown area.

WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS. If you are no longer able to attend and have already registered, your registration fee will be used as a donation to the beneficiaries of this race.

Get ready to lace up for our 2nd Annual [Un]Leash the Fun! This year, we aren't just running for fitness—we’re running for Mack (the good boy in the picture). 🌈

If you knew Mack, you knew a dog who lived life to the fullest for 14 beautiful years. He was a connoisseur of extra-sharp cheese, a professional sun-soaker, and a world-class singer whenever the fire whistle blew. Whether he was cuddling a shark stuffie or enjoying his daily pup cup, Mack was the definition of "spoiled" in the best way possible.

Mack’s family fought a brave battle alongside him against kidney disease—navigating special diets, IV fluids, and everything in between. While Mack eventually gained his wings, his legacy of joy and resilience stays behind.

This year, every mile we clock honors Mack’s 14-year legacy and the incredible bond between a dog and his family.
