WoodCreek Cares Charity 5k & Fun Run

Summer 2026 Kids Speed & Conditioning TUESDAYS training in Apex is brought to you by Triangle Run Smart Training, presented by Pace Yourself Run Company and The Running PTs.

Class is 8 weeks long, meeting once per week, and is geared toward kids aged 8-14 years old of ALL levels and paces. The goal of the class is to have fun, get healthy, and work on running speed and overall conditioning. Class will be capped at 35 registrants.

Cost of the class is $65. No refund and no deferral if you drop out of the class after registering. Please do not register if you're unsure of your child's schedule and have a potential conflict with another activity. No class switches after registering.

Cost includes: 8 weeks of 1 coached workout per week, a season training plan with suggested workouts on non-class days as well, 20% off discount at Pace Yourself Run Company (some restrictions apply), educational information coordinated by The Running PTs, and a training shirt.

If you have financial difficulty in affording a training class, please contact us. We have a donation program that can help out.

The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen.

TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. This is a race put on by the Hiester Cares Foundation. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. In the past 4 years we have had over 700 runners and raised over $350,000!

The 5K course is entirely on the campus of Fuquay Varina High School, mostly on broad sidewalks. It is USATF certified.

Participants will receive a race t-shirt and swag bag.
