Join Us for the 1st Annual Reboot with JuJu Mental Health Awareness 5K

JuJu suffered in silence with his mental health just like so many of our children, teens, and adults today. This event was created in his honor to break that silence. We invite you to be part of something meaningful.

The Reboot with JuJu 5K Run/Walk/Jog/Bike is more than a race it is a movement of awareness, remembrance, and restoration. Together, we gather to honor Jawuan “JuJu” Booker and to stand beside every individual who is struggling or grieving.

This is the first event in our 2-Part Awareness Series, with a second community 5K taking place in September for Suicide Prevention Month.

Event Highlights:

Virtual Option: Participate from anywhere during race week.

Custom Bib & Medal: Celebrate your effort with a keepsake bib and finisher medal.

Why We Run

Because no one should have to suffer alone.

Because conversations save lives.

Because hope deserves a voice.

The Great Train Race has been a tradition in Fredericksburg Virginia for over 30 years! The event is one of the largest timed kid’s races on the east coast. Young runners get the rare opportunity to compete in a race just for them.

The race starts near the Fredericksburg Train Station and runs through historic downtown. Runners cross the Crown Trophy Finish Line at the City Docks. Runners and families are invited to the Race Festival located in the commuter lot behind the Train Station for awards, music, vendors, and treats.

The race consists of 3 events for kids under 18:

The 1-mile Express for ages 6 to 17

The 1/2-mile George Dashington for ages 10 and under

The 1/4-mile Caboose Run for ages 5 and under

The Express and George Dashington will be chip timed races. The Caboose Run is a fun run and will not be timed.

All runners receive a finishers medal and race shirt (shirts are only guaranteed when registered before April 1st).

Walk or Run with Us at the 7th Annual Co-op 5K!

Everyone is welcome to join us for this fun, family-friendly community event—whether you walk or run. By participating, you’ll help make healthy, local food more affordable for neighbors in need.

    Where do the proceeds go?

Net proceeds from the race support our Community Co-op Cash Program, which provides qualifying shoppers (EBT, TANF, WIC, or Unemployment benefactors.) with 15% off store-wide for an entire year. Our goal is simple: to make fresh, nourishing food more accessible and affordable for everyone in our community.

This program is funded entirely through the generosity of our Co-op owners and shoppers and reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting our neighbors and strengthening food access for all. We hope it helps make shopping at the Co-op a little more affordable—and a lot more enjoyable.

    Race Options

This year, we’re offering both in-person and virtual participation.

Register by May 2, 2026 to guarantee your race t-shirt.

    Important Notes:

    • No dogs are permitted on the race course

    • Strollers are welcome

We can’t wait to see you there—thank you for helping us build a healthier, more inclusive community!
