Start Location: First Avenue near Bridgepoint Plaza

Finish Location: Pedestrian Bridge leading to the Forum and the Town Green

Race Certification: The 5K course is certified by USA Track and Field, (Certification # GA20019WC), and is also a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.

Early Bird Registration: The Early Bird 5K cost is $36, and the walk is $31. Early bird registration is open now and ends on Sunday, February 1 at midnight.

Regular Registration: You can register online at runsignup.com or visit 1 Shorter Avenue to register in person. After the 'Early Bird' rates end on Feb. 1st, the cost for the 5K is $41 and the cost of the heath walk is $36. Registration closes on Sunday, March 8 at 11 p.m. After March 8, late registration can only be done in person at 1 Shorter Avenue. Late registration costs are $51 for the 5K and the Health Walk.

Race News: All relevant race news will be posted on our web site at www.rfpra.com and our social media accounts at Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Race news will also be sent to the email address used for race registration, so be sure to use an email address you can access. Groups will have an email sent to the group member who registered them and that person will be responsible for contacting the group members of any changes.

Group Registration: We offer a discount for groups who register for the walk or run. Group Registration closes on Friday, February 27. There is no late registration for groups. One person in the group will be responsible for packet pick-up and communication if race, walk times or events change. The group discount code will also be in effect during early bird pricing. ​​Packet Pickup: Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation will host packet pick-up the week leading up to the race. Packet pick-up will be on Friday, March 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Late registration will be accepted in-person only on those days as well. Packet pickup will be held at Academy Sports + Outdoors in Rome, located at 232 Shorter Ave. Rome, GA 30165. Individuals may also pick up on race day. GROUP packet pickup will be on Thursday, March 12 at Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation’s main office located at 1 Shorter Ave. Rome, GA.

Race Day: Race day registration and packet pick up will open at 3:30 p.m. at Bridge Point Plaza. Registration on race day is $51 for the 5K or the 2M Walk. Race day registration and packet pick up closed at 5:15 p.m. to allow us to get the race started!

5K Awards Ceremony: Race awards for the 5K will be handed out at the Town Green postrace. The awards ceremony will start at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Starting Line: The starting area is near the intersection of First Avenue and Broad Street just down from Bridge Point Plaza.

Run Details: The run begins on First Avenue before covering portions of the Kingfisher Trail and levee system behind Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Headquarters and finishing on the pedestrian bridge near the Forum and the Town Green.

Walk Details: The 2 Mile walk begins on First Avenue and covers portions of the Kingfisher Trail and the levee before ending on the pedestrian bridge in front of the Forum and the Town Green. The walk is approximately two miles. There are no awards for the walk.

Post Race: There will be sports drinks and water at the Town Green as well as fruit and snacks. We will have foam and music on the Town Green.

Water: There will be one water station on the course.

Awards: The top finishers in their age groups as well as the first overall male and female, male and female master’s runners and male and female grandmasters runners receive awards.

    5K COURSE:

    This USATF-certified course [GA24031WC] starts in front of Historic 1848 Fannin Hall and Georgia's largest outdoor swimming pool. It winds its way through town before turning by the Georgia School for the Deaf. It then returns to town and meanders through quaint neighborhoods before finishing in the middle of town square. The course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills but this tour of Cave Spring on foot will not be soon forgotten!
