    FIRE CHIEF DARIN J. SABINE

Newington Fire Chief Darin Sabine was born on August 4, 1984 in Newington, NH and his last

alarm was on September 7, 2019 after a 2-year battle with colon cancer.

Chief Sabine was diagnosed in early 2017 with Stage 4 colon cancer. He had spent much of his

short time here on earth either with family or at the fire station. He was dedicated to his family and

brotherhood. He fought hard to spend as much time as he could with his wife and 2 little girls.

Our hope with this run is that we will keep Chief Sabine’s memory alive and raise funds to support first responders and their families who have been affected by cancer or other life-threatening illnesses or injuries. The race length of 3.3 miles is in honor of Newington Fire Department 33.

MISSION OF THE SABINE STRONG FOUNDATION 33

The mission of Sabine Strong Foundation 33 is to raise funds to help support first responders and their families affected by cancer or other life-threatening illnesses or injuries.

The Sabine Strong Foundation 33 is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under EIN #86-1644745.

    About Lydia's House of Hope:

Our transitional-living program is for women and children who have been affected by homelessness due to poverty, domestic violence, addiction, and generational trauma.

Lydia's House of Hope provides a highly structured faith-based program for one year. Single women as well as mother's with children are provided with:

    • Case management

    • Nurse advocacy

    • Occupational therapy

    • Mental health counseling

    • Substance abuse counseling

    • Trauma therapy

    • And over 50 continuous life skills classes to include parenting, nutrition, work readiness, time management, finance, and so much more!

Lydia's House of Hope believes a holistic program helps families to heal as well as provides the skills necessary to transition from homelessness to wholeness.

We invite you to contact us or volunteer and learn how you along with our community can transform the lives women, mothers and children.

We are pleased to introduce Grace House, the newest LHOH step up program especially for semi-independent living. We give women the skills to end generational trauma and we stay connected with them on their journey to wholeness.

Visit our website: www.lydiashousenh.org. We hope to see you Saturday 9/20/25 at 9:00am as we continue to build community and raise funds to conquer our mission!

We race in honor of the young Lydia Valdez, her light and love are the inspiration for Lydia's House of Hope.

    • You are invited to celebrate Lydia's birthday by lacing up your sneakers to help us continue supporting families dealing with addiction, homelessness and generational trauma.

    When: September 20, 2025, from 9:00am - 12:00pm

Where:120 Maple Street Somersworth, NH 03878 behind St. Martin's Church in the parking lot.

LHOH is excited to be raffling off some amazing donations. There will be activities for all ages during and after the race! If you cannot run, please inquire about volunteering, make a donation, or cheer on our runners. Businesses are always welcome to sponsor events. All are welcome and we cannot wait to see everyone from the community rally to help inspire generational wellness and healing!

The top female and top male winner will receive a customized medal, and winners in each category will receive a ribbon. After the walk/run, enjoy awesome post-race activities and refreshments!!

Bring the kids and the dogs! Thank you for your continued support!

Grab a partner and take on the Timberclaw Partner Relay—a fast-paced, 3-hour endurance challenge built around teamwork, grit, and consistency.

Teams of two will alternate 2-mile loops across a mixed course of trail and open field. One runs while the other recovers—then you switch. Keep trading laps and rack up as much distance as possible before time runs out.

Run your loop, recover, and get ready to go again.

Whether you’re pushing the pace or settling into a steady rhythm, every lap adds up—and the team that covers the most ground wins.
