Join us for the 8th Annual Dirty Dozen 5K and Fun Run Obstacle Mud Run on Saturday, September 12, 2026! Featuring a 5K course for ages 7 and up and a Fun Run for participants of all ages, this event promises muddy excitement and fun for everyone!

Whether tackling the 5K course solo or as part of a team or conquering the Fun Run course, participants will face exciting obstacles that challenge their strength, agility, and endurance. Proceeds from the Dirty Dozen 5K Obstacle Mud Run and Fun Run will support innovative YMCA health programs, including those benefiting cancer survivors and individuals managing chronic diseases, making a lasting impact in our community.

New for 2026: New Medals for 5K and Fun Run

Race Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026

Registration: Registration opens on January 1, 2026

Location: Jerry Long Family YMCA

Race/First Heat Start Time: 7:30am (Fun Run) and 8:10am (5K)

Heats Start: Every 10 minutes

CLEMMONS OKTOBERFEST: 8:00am - 12:00pm

Race Day Childcare

Free childcare is available for all YMCA of NWNC Members and Non-Member Volunteers. The cost will be $10 for Non-Members for children 3 months and older to age 10 from 6:30am to 12:00pm. Parents must pre-register for child care at the Jerry Long Family YMCA by calling Member Services at 336 712 2000 or click here for online registration.

Parents and guardians must reserve a spot by 7:00pm on Friday, September 11, 2026. Additional $5 fee for late registrations! If you have any questions, please contact Margaret Ramirez at [email protected]

    Are you ready to get colorful for a great cause? The PACU Foundation’s Flying Colors Charity 5K and Fun Run is a dynamic, community-focused event that centers around a timed 5K (8 a.m. start) in which participants are doused with safe, food-based color powder at various points throughout the course. There will be a second, untimed fun run/walk (8:15 a.m.) start for those looking for a more casual, but equally fun, option that will also feature color powder.

    Participants will receive an event t-shirt that will appear tie-dyed and rainbow-tastic by the end of either option selected (timed 5k or untimed fun run/walk)!* Packets for participants registered by 6/1/26 will be available for pickup at Piedmont Advantage Credit Union in the lobby (Winston Salem location - 3530 Advantage Way, Winston-Salem, NC 27103) on TBD from 11 am - 5:30 pm. Individuals registered after 6/1/26 and those not able to pickup packets on TBD may collect them on the day of the run at the registration table between 7 am - 7:40 am (the 5k will begin promptly at 8 am.)

    *T-shirts subject to availability for registrations placed after 5/15/2026.

    There will also be games, face art, a bubble station, access to local food trucks to purchase delicious treats, and so much more! The PACU Foundation advances charitable giving to support access to financial literacy, education and training, and disaster and emergency assistance for residents overcoming financial hardship throughout the Triad and Charlotte communities.
