  The Syrup Stampede is an annual fundraiser and community celebration benefiting Empty Arms Bereavement Support. Join us for a professionally timed 5K run or a 2K fun run/walk—then stay for a joyful community gathering and a pancake breakfast to celebrate together. Participants are encouraged to create a fundraising page or team to raise awareness and support for Empty Arms’ work. Thanks to the generosity of individual donors, team fundraisers, and business sponsors, the Stampede raises nearly 50% of the annual budget needed to serve bereaved families across Massachusetts, all year long.

  Empty Arms Bereavement Support serves individuals and families throughout Massachusetts whose babies have died through miscarriage, stillbirth, early infant death, or termination for medical reasons. It’s widely considered the most challenging trail race in the Northeast… and in our humble opinion… it has the most beautiful views.

  YOU choose whether the funds you raise go to support one of the WP community partners or an organization that matters to you when you sign up for a charity bib.

  Please understand that by signing up for a charity bib, you are making a serious commitment to raise the amount you agreed to. If you are not able to meet the minimum fundraising amount by the week of the race, you will be charged for the cost of a regular bib at that time.

This 5k Trail Run or Walk and Mushroom Mile (great for children and grown-ups alike!) is held on the trails of our campus and open to the public. Proceeds support The Hartsbrook School's unique programming including Land Stewardship, which integrates animal husbandry, climate education, sustainable agriculture and beekeeping practices across the curriculum grades 1-12.
