Join us for the 14th year of racing in Upper Dublin Township! This USAT-sanctioned race, produced by the Upper Dublin Township Parks & Recreation Department, is ideal for experienced athletes as well as a great introduction to the sport for newbies. We have many race options including a triathlon (individual or relay), duathlon, aquabike and a run-only. All race net proceeds will be donated to a variety of local and regional agencies in need.

Virtual Pre-Race Info Meetings

Leading up to the race, there will be a series of virtual race info meetings that will review what to expect leading up to the race and on race day. Each info meeting will be the same presentation and cover the same material - these meetings are not mandatory. Meeting dates will be announced closer to the date of the race.

  • Triathlon - 350-meter Pool Swim, 9.65-mile Bike & 3.4-mile Run

  • Duathlon - 2-mile Run, 9.65-mile Bike, 3.4-mile Run

  • Aquabike - 350-meter Pool Swim, 9.65-mile Bike

  • Run-only - 3.4-mile Run

Race Registration Deadlines

You must register by 4/17/26 to receive a custom bib. You must register by 5/1/26 to be guaranteed your preferred t-shirt size. Note that the race may sell out before these dates.

Day-Of Timeline

  • 5:30 AM Transition Area & Packet Pickup opens

  • 6:15 AM Pool opens for warm-up swim

  • 6:40 AM Packet Pickup for Tri/Du/Aqua closes

  • 6:45 AM Pool closes for warm-up swim

  • 7:00 AM Transition Area Closes

  • 7:05 AM Pre-Race Athlete Meeting

  • 7:15 AM Duathletes Dismissed to start line (at Transition Area)

  • 7:15 AM First group of swimmers dismissed to the pool

  • 7:30 AM First swimmer enters the pool/Duathlon begins

  • Top 3 Clydesdales (Males 220+ lbs)

  • Top 3 Athenas (Females 165+ lbs)

  • Top 3 Relay Teams (2- or 3- person, non-gender specific)

  • Top 3 High School Division Male & Female (currently in 9th to 12th grade)

  • Top 3 Physically Challenged/Intellectual Disability (PC/ID) Open Division Male & Female

Duathlon - The following award format is followed:

  • Top 5 Overall Male & Female

  • Top 3 Masters (Age 50+) Male & Female

Aquabike - The following award format is followed:

  • Top 5 Overall Male & Female

Run* - The following award format is followed:

*If there are more than 30 registrants per gender category as of May 1, we will also award age groups in 10-year increments

    Scoogie Events KIDS ROCK TRIATHLON & DUATHLON will be staged on Saturday, June 13, 2026 to help raise funds for the beautiful Penllyn Club

    while also providing a fun, non-competitive atmosphere in a safe environment and of course, an awesome post-race atmosphere for the kids.

    Triathlon distances:

    Ages 5-7: Swim 25 yards ~ Bike 2 Miles ~ Run .35 Mile

    Ages 8-9: Swim 50 yards ~ Bike 2 Miles ~ Run .35 Mile

    Ages 10-11: Swim 100 yards ~ Bike 2 Miles ~ Run .75 Mile

    Ages 12-15: Swim 100 yards ~ Bike 3.5 Miles ~ Run .75 Mile

    Ages 6-7: Run .40 Mile ~ Bike 2 Miles ~ Run .25 Mile

    Course details:

    Swim:

    (for the triathlon)

    The swim will be held in an outdoor pool with lifeguards.

    Transition Area:

    (for both tri & du)

    There will be an area for the competitors to put their bikes, shoes, helmets, etc., called “the transition area”.

    After finishing the swim, (or 1st run for the duathletes) the kids will come into the transition area

    to put on their biking gear, get their bikes and start the bike portion of the race.

    IMPORTANT TRANSITION NOTE:

    The transition area will be staffed with 10 Scoogie Events Crew to welcome & encourage your children.

    Parents DO NOT need to get helmets & bikes inspected at a bike shop. But, we are asking that you (the parent) thoroughly go over your child’s bike and make sure that everything is tight and in working order.     There is no mailing of awards or shirts. You MUST pick up your award before you leave. If you do not, we cannot hold/store awards and it will likely be given to a race day entry or someone else. It is simply too much to hold/store & inventory the awards.

    Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a t-shirt BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved shirt for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. If you do not do this, we cannot hold your shirt and it will be given to someone that registered after the deadline. We cannot mail shirts!

    Runners may pick up their packets on race morning but it is advised that they pick them up at packet pick up to avoid lines on race day.
