About this event

Lydney Lido T30 Triathloin is a new event aimed at first timers and experienced Triathletes

400m Swim in the beautiful Bathurst Lido

24km on road cycle around the edge of the Forest of Dean

5km run around the park & lake

The lido is a wetsuit optional swim.

Event details and schedule

Luydney Lido (Bathurst Park) is an open air Lido, situated in Lydney , Gloucestershire.

The event will start at 8am on 1st August 2027

The event is open for all levels and abilities. You only need a roadworthy bike, helmet and a pair of trainers

Registration will open at 7am and can be found in the HIGH 5 Tent in the park next to bike check in and transition.

At registration you will receive your race numbers and stickers for your bike, helmet and baggage

Please ensure your bike is numbered before you enter transition.

Once your bike is racked you can proceed to the lido for 8am swim start

Swimmers will be started in swim speed order so please try and be accurate when submitting your 400m swim time

Parking is free at the Lido (Field next to Lido) marshalled.

A race briefing and start list will be emailed a few days prior to the event and will also be published on the website

    Indoor heated pool event at Freedom Leisure Lydney

    Great event for beginners wanting to try the sport for the first time or for more experienced athletes looking to finish the season off with a short & friendly race.

    Indoor heated pool, secure transition, Scenic Bike route. Finishers medal for everyone.

    Distances:- 400m pool swim, 20k bike, 5k run

    or 800m swim, 40k bike, 10k run

    Event details and schedule

    Event will start from 8.00am depending on number of swim waves, registration will be open from 07.15am on the morning of the event.

    Parking is free and is at Freedom Leisure Church Road Lydney, GL15 5DZ

    Please register before attempting to rack your bike and at least 30 mins before your swim time slot.

    A race briefing will be held poolside when you are handed your race chip.

    Please ensure you are on poolside 10mins before your swim time.

    The bike & run route are on the website and swim start times & will be sent via email a week before the event.

    Ensure you familiarise yourself with the bike routes.

    1st, 2nd and 3rd trophies for both male and female and both distances.
