3.1 Miles 5k Run Walk

The Run to Remember Memorial 5K is more than just a race - it's a movement of remembrance, awareness, and community healing. Together, we run to honor the lives lost, support survivors, and stand with families forever changed by the devastating impact of drunk and distracted driving.

Set against a backdrop of unity and hope, the event brings runner, walkers, families, and community members together for a morning filled with purpose. Every stride is a statement we will not forget, and we will continue to fight for safer roads and stronger communities.

Participants will experience:

  • A scenic 5K course designed for both competitive runners and casual walkers.

  • Memorial 5K markers dedicated to victims, reminding us of the true meaning behind each step.

  • Community spirit with the local sponsors, volunteers, and families rallying in support of the cause.

  • A powerful remembrance ceremony celebrating lives, sharing stories, and renewing our commitment to prevention.

Proceeds from the Run to Remember will go to MADD (Mother's Against Drunk Driving) to directly support awareness campaigns, victim support programs, and community initiatives focused on ending drunk and distracted driving

Join us in running with purpose, remembering with love, and moving forward together.

Awards for top three overall, chip timed by Personal Best Racing (www.personalbestracing.com)

Blessings to all! Especially entering another season of giving! Proceeds for this event will go to our host, First Baptist Church of Strawberry Plains with the focus on supporting our neighbors who are hungry and in need. Funds will go to building up the church's free community food pantry "The Blessing Box" a free food closet available year round with no hunger application requirement. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Tennessee Endurance, our partners for hosting this race to help support local running athletes by offering competition opportunities and scholarship.

    COURSE

To those who know or have run in Strawberry Plains, Big Bend is the best route east of Knoxville! The Big Bend race features 10K and 5K offerings. the 5K course is an out and back route that boasts a total elevation of 150ft.

The 10K is our highlight course as this looped route gains less than 250ft over the entire 10K distance. Come ready to race on a new course with spectacular flats, gradual climbs and fantastic back country scenery!

And of course we have a Kids 1Mile Route for the 10 and under crew who want to run, or, for those parents/ adults who are still young at heart who want to run/ walk to support!
