The event includes Teal Pumpkin activities and education to help create allergy awareness and make the event family-friendly. Red Sneakers Peoria: Recent Impact Highlights * Equipped 100 Peoria police officers with life-saving epinephrine auto-injectors * Partnered with 3 restaurants in Peoria Heights now carrying epinephrine and promoting allergy-safe dining * Trained educators at early learning centers to recognize and respond to allergic reactions and donated epinephrine * Expanded allergy-safe zones at major community events, including the Peoria Civic Center and the Peoria Chiefs.   The 2026 Elite Chocolate Turkey 3 Mile Run & 1 Mile Walk is a new Thanksgiving Day tradition funding the next chapter of Elite Community Outreach. Let’s team up with family and friends along the Riverfront on Thanksgiving morning to support Elite!

  Run, walk, dance, or watch; all are welcome no matter how you participate. The Elite Chocolate Turkey is all about being together and giving thanks as a community while supporting our future. The Elite Holiday Choir will serenade us into the season and plenty of chocolate will reward us at the finish line, where participants can connect over hot cocoa and treats before heading home for holiday festivities.

  Be sure to register soon to secure your signature 2026 Elite Chocolate Turkey shirt, 3.5oz chocolate turkey, and best of all – some chocolate goodies after the race! If you can’t join us Thanksgiving Day, you can still make an impact by donating directly to Elite via the DONATE button.
