Brooks will be on-site with their newest running shoes, giving you the opportunity to test them out during our group run and experience their comfort, cushioning, and performance firsthand. Whether you’re training for a race, building base miles, or simply looking to try something new, this is the perfect chance to find your next favorite pair.

All paces are welcome, and our team along with Brooks reps will be available to answer questions and help you find the right fit.

Packet Pick-Up

We highly recommend that pre-registered participants (those that have signed up online before race day) pick up your packet on Saturday, June 6th from 11:30am - 4:30pm at Road Runner Sports (1714 Newbury Rd, Newbury Park, CA 91320).

We do offer race morning packet pick-up beginning at 6:00AM. Please arrive AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR EVENT START TIME. Expect lines on race morning pick up. You can pick up someone else's packet if you have a copy of their ID.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or simply looking for a great way to start your Independence Day festivities, the Simi 250 5K is designed to bring people of all ages and abilities together for a morning of energy, connection, and celebration.

The course follows the beautiful Arroyo Simi Greenway, offering a scenic and accessible route that welcomes runners, walkers, families, and friends alike. Along the way you’ll experience the excitement of race day, the encouragement of fellow participants, and the pride of being part of a historic national milestone.

This event is about more than just the finish line. It’s about celebrating community, honoring the spirit of independence, and kicking off a day of festivities across Simi Valley.

Distance: 5K (3.1 miles)

Location: Simi Valley, California

All ages and abilities welcome.

The 5k/10k course will be in and around the streets of Dos Vientos (Newbury Park, CA). The 5k is relatively flat and a great family run or walk. The 10k, however is a little more difficult with several moderately challenging climbs. Both courses will be timed. AWARDS WiLL BE GIVEN to the top 3 male and female finishers in each race. All participants will also receive a race tee-shirt and a Specialized customized 24 ounce water bottle.
