    partners who play a vital role in the life of the Library by assisting staff with community programming, advocacy, fundraising, hosting book sales, and offering their continual support.

    The race will start and finish at the Trussville Public Library and will be chip timed. A race t-shirt is included with the registration fee!

    Kid One Transport's 13th Annual Trick or Trot 5k will have both in person and virtual option.

    The In Person Race will occur on Oct 24th at Back Forty Brewing at 8 AM. Don't want to

    run or wake up on Saturday morning? You can still support the Kid One Transport Trick or Trot 5k with the virtual option.

    We will have packet pick up at Back Forty Brewing on Oct. 23, 2024.

    Get into the Halloween spirit at the 13^th Annual Trick or Trot 5K benefiting Kid One Transport! The Trick or Trot 5K is a costume run that traditionally takes place in downtown Birmingham, Alabama through the streets of the Lakeview District.

    The event includes 5K, a costume contest (social media), & a tshirt. Runners of all ages, strollers and pets are welcome!

    Awards

    The Trick or Trot 5K awards will honor the top three male and female runners overall, as well as the top male and female masters. Additionally, the top three male and female finishers in each age group will be recognized. The age groups are divided as follows: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. This ensures a broad range of participants have the opportunity to be acknowledged for their achievements.

    There will be awards given for Biggest Team (Community and Corporate), Most Spirited Team (Best Costumes), Most Spirited Individual (Best Costume), Most Spirited Kid (Best Costume), and Most Spirited Pet & Owner (Best Costume)! Costumes are not required to participate but are encouraged - the more spirited the better!

    In the event that the Trick or Trot 5K cannot run as planned in person, all registrants will continue as virtual race participants.

    All proceeds from the Trick or Trot 5K benefit Kid One Transport and will raise funds to provide transportation to medical care for children and expectant mothers throughout Alabama.

    • Jerry Can 5K Relay- will be a (3) person relay with both men's teams and women's teams

    welcome. Each team will run/walk the 5K with a Jerry can provided by Foundations 4 Hope. The Jerry can will be filled with 5 Gallons (42lbs) of water for men teams and 3 Gallons (25lbs) of water for women teams. Time results end when the last person of each team crosses the finish line. Each team will sign up for the race as single entry but will be responsible for forming their own (3) person teams. The Jerry can can be carried in any position desired but no straps or alternative methods/additions to the can will be permitted. All age athletes are welcomed!

    The goal of the Foundations for Hope 5K is to Advance the Gospel by empowering the local church, investing in individuals, providing critical resources, and equipping Christian leaders. This year’s 5K will support a combination of these efforts, through the local church in East Africa, by providing communities with Christian leaders, churches, clean water, and medicine. Join us for a great event and be part of a generation being changed by the love of Jesus.
