Join us this May for the second Annual Marshall Mountain Revival!

Marshall Mountain has long been a hub for outdoor adventure in Missoula, and the Marshall Mountain Revival is a way to honor its legacy and create a new springtime tradition. Missoula County has been hard at work building new trails at Marshall, and our looped courses do their best to showcase these offerings.

Looking for a team event? Grab your friends and sign up for the Revival 25k relay! With 2-3 person teams, each team must complete all three of our 5 mile loops, then finish with a mini "victory lap" around the half-mile Local Glory Trail.

Prefer to go alone? Challenge yourself with the Revival Solo 25k and complete all three of our loops for 15 miles and 3600 feet of climbing.

Want for something shorter? We offer the Moose 5 Mile - a single lap with 1200 feet of climbing and smooth singletrack down the Moose trail.

After the race, we'll have a robust post-race brunch, access to plenty of offerings in our vendor village from local businesses. We hope to see you in May!

The Dusty Bandita is a gravel race built not only to expand our presence in a male-dominated sport of bike racing, but to inspire ALL women to go beyond their limits, physically and mentally – dig deep, climb the big climbs, and take the inside line; Breathe in the crisp Montana air and leave our cares behind. The distance options available are for the racer or adventurer alike. We want to instill the feeling of freedom and confidence while we ultimately broaden the field of women cyclists entering cycling events throughout the local area, state, and nation.

    Inclusivity Statement

Founded in 2022, The Dusty Bandita was the first women’s gravel bike race in the U.S. Since its inception, the event has grown in both

impact and participation, and we’ve broadened our scope to be an inclusive, affirming space for all riders who identify as women,

non-binary, or gender-queer. We use the term women+ to intentionally include these identities and to honor communities that have been

historically marginalized in the sport of cycling.

Our goal is for all women+ to feel welcome, comfortable, and celebrated at this race: you belong here. While participation is

reserved for women+, we warmly welcome men as spectators and volunteers. For many of us, they are our partners, family members, and

friends, and we value sharing these meaningful moments alongside them. We also encourage participants to bring the women+ in their lives; to

ride together, support one another, and cheer each other on.

As the first event of its kind, The Dusty Bandita carries a strong sense of feminine energy. We celebrate the diversity of every person

who attends and encourage everyone to show up as their full, authentic selves.

    Overview:

This is a great race to start your triathlon or duathlon racing career or as a family adventure. The triathlon is in open water, but wet suits are not necessary as the water is a reasonable temperature. Distances for adults is Mini - 150 yds, Short - 300 yards, Long - 600 yards. The running course is mostly on a trail shaded with giant old growth Western Larch trees - 3 miles. The bike ride is on a combination of paved county road, dirt road and trails - 7.8 miles. All racers are chipped including the kids and finish times are immediately available for printing and on devices.

Registration: At the venue, Riverpoint Campground Day Use area, from 2-5pm on Friday and 7-8:45 on Saturday. T-shirts will be distributed for those registering before July 15 at these times.

Everyone must park at Pyramid Mountain Lumber. There is no parking at the race site, and parking on Boy Scout or the neighbors driveways is not allowed. You may drop-off racers or spectators at the end of the road and they can walk or bike in and then park at Pyramid and either bike back to Riverpoint Campground or ride the shuttle.

We hope everyone stays for the awards ceremony where the winners stand on Olympic style boxes and get their medal. A great photo op moment.

Included in the racers fees are: parking, shuttle, T-shirt (if registered before July 15), race chip, snacks and medals for winners.

Spectators: FREE spectator parking and shuttle. Please feel free to bring folding chairs. Spectators must STAY OUT of the transition area by using a trail from the spectator area at the finish line to the beach.

Race Information: We have moved to a 3 second staggered start from the transition area starting at 9am. This has solved the congestion at the start of the race and since everyone is chipped there is no penalty for when you start. Everyone doing either the Triathlon or the Duathlon or participating as a team lines up by preference. All racers are chipped including the kids and finish times are immediately available for printing and on devices.

The Kids Triathlon starts when most of the adults have completed the course so families can watch approximately 11am. The kids use the outside of the swimming area bouys as their course. They can stop and hold on if they need to, and life vests are acceptable. Parents may follow along INSIDE the buoys. The bike ride is on the first half of the adult run trail for 8 and under and the entire adult run trail for 9-12. The run is an out and back, to the campground road entrance for 8 and under and to the venue entrance for 9-12. They cross the same finish line as the adults.
