Bryon Martini Jr. 5k Memorial Run/Walk

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

The event includes a 1/2 Marathon run and a 5K run/walk. The 5K also provides an opportunity for families and people with pets to participate. Both are held on the Yough River Trail of the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) which provides a flat, fast, crushed limestone surface. Medals are given in both races. Please note that medals not claimed on race day will be discarded.

Pacers from Marathon Pacing will participate in the 1/2 Marathon.

The Mon Yough Trail Council (MYTC) hosts this race. It raises necessary funds for trail maintenance and upkeep throughout the year. The MYTC is one of a network of all-volunteer trail councils that exist along the GAP specifically to keep the trail open and accessible for all.

8:00a.m.—Registration and check-in begins at Roll R Way Skating Center located at 590 Galiffa Drive, Donora, PA. Entry Fee is $20.00: Pre-Registration deadline is April 10, 2026. Late Registration up until 10 minutes prior to race is $25.00. All participants pre-registered by April 10, 2026 will be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Awards Ceremony & 125th Birthday Celebration:

Immediately following the race a luncheon, distribution of awards and celebration for Donora's 125th anniversary will take place at the Donora Borough Hall located at 603 Meldon Avenue.

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male/female runners and walkers in these age groups:

Runners/Walkers: 0-10, 11-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29,

30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+.

All proceeds of the race will support New Haven Hose Company.

• The race starts promptly at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026!

• The starting line and finish line will be at the New Haven Hose Company (127 South 7th Street, Connellsville).

• Wolf Creek Race Management will provide online results which will be posted after the race and on Neon Nights 5K Race Facebook page.
