Run Swim Triathlon

Location: Parkrose High School, 12003 NE Shaver St, Portland, OR 97220

NEW for 2025-2026 we will be dividing the swim series up into two distinct sessions each Saturday in order to offer more space and better control overcrowding of lanes.

Session 1: 9:00-10:20 am

Session 2: 10:30-11:30 am

Session 1 will run from 9:00-10:20am, and session 2 will run from 10:30-11:30am. Both sessions are the same in terms of skill level (all levels are coached in each session), and the only difference between the sessions is that session 1 is 80 minutes long versus session 2 which is 60 minutes long. When you register for a session, whether the full season or drop-in, you are committing to attending that session.

Each session is capped at 48 people.

This swim series is available for PTC members only. Make sure your membership is current, and you've "claimed" your membership on the RunSignUp.com platform. Email Joel Gaff at [email protected] with any questions or for assistance.

Drop-In: Drop in registrations will be offered starting in November. Just like the full season registration, drop-in registrants will sign up for one of the two sessions.

Drop-ins are available on a first come, first served basis for $10/session online (see "Drop-In Registration" link above).

This is a great opportunity for people to keep up the swim fitness over the winter with a fun group of people. There will be the infamous 126 50's that we'll be swimming in January. There may be opportunities for a swim meet.

Join us for the 43nd Annual PDX Triathlon Festival at Blue Lake Regional Park and kick off the summer racing season. The fun begins on Sunday where athletes compete on our scenic, flat and fast course in either the Super Sprint, Sprint or Olympic Distances. NEW: A 5K on Sunday or try our Paddle Triathlon for those of you who would rather kayak or paddle-board! Relay options are great for friends, family & co-workers!

The Annual PDX/Blue Lake Triathlon was started by the Portland Triathlon Association and Frank Goulard, who is still an active, local Masters Triathlete. He participates in many of our events so come on out and meet the legend, the man who started it all for us here locally!

This weekend festival offers an Olympic and Sprint Distance Triathlon, Duathlon & AquaBike, and a Super Sprint course that offers shorter distances for those new to the sport or just going for pure, raw speed. The Super Sprint is also a great event for our Junior Triathletes!

Recognized by NW triathletes as the “must do” event to open the triathlon season, the PDX Triathlon encompasses two full days of racing (Kids races & Sunset 5k on Saturday & Super Sprint, Sprint & Olympic races on Sunday) including a Sports & Fitness Expo. Triathlon Clubs from across the NW gather to launch the MultiSport season.

The bike courses are flat and fast, with the majority occurring on a section of Marine Dr that is closed to all but local traffic. This makes the course one of the safest and fastest in the region.

PARKING IS INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION COST.

    Welcome to the Slurpee-Fueled Suffering

Ever looked at a 7-Eleven roller grill and thought, "I could run 100 miles on those taquitos"? No? Just us?

The 24/7Eleven is not your standard trail ultra. There are no sweeping alpine vistas or pristine singletrack here. This is an urban scavenger hunt through the heart of Clark County. Your mission is simple but soul-crushing: Visit as many 7-Eleven locations in the county as possible within a 24-hour window.

    The Rules of the Road

    • The Clock: You have 24 hours. Start at Foot Traffic, finish at Foot Traffic, but the clock doesn't stop for brain freezes.

    • The Proof: Every "Summit" (store visit) must be documented with a geo-tagged photo of you and the store frontage.

    • The Fuel: This is the kicker. You are strictly prohibited from consuming any calories not purchased inside a 7-Eleven during the event. If it didn’t come off a roller, out of a fountain, or from a crinkly plastic bag, it’s a DNF.

    • The Route: Total "Choose Your Own Adventure." Map it out, bridge the gaps, and try to avoid the Vancouver traffic.

    Why Do This?

Because the Vantucky Trailrunners believe that "adventure" is a mindset. Whether we’re hitting the mud at Whipple Creek or hitting the pavement on Fourth Plain, we do it with heart, humor, and a questionable amount of processed sodium.
