Heart Beats 17th Annual Fun Run & Walk

It takes a community to support a child and their family with a heart condition, and on June 13, that community comes together.

Join us for Heart Beats Children's Society's 17th Annual Fun Run & Walk, a celebration of movement, connection, and every heart family who has needed their community to help them navigate what pediatric heart disease looks like for their family.

Choose your distance and show up your way:

• 5KM Fun Run — Start time 10:00 AM

• 3KM Family Walk — Start time 10:30 AM

Last year, our community raised over $90,000, and thanks to Rogers' Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink, more than $18,000 in additional matched funds meant our impact went even further. This year, we're reaching higher. Every registration and every dollar raised goes directly toward Heart Beats programs that provide connection, peer support, and meaningful moments of care for hundreds of children and families living with congenital and acquired heart conditions.

Whether you run, walk, or roll - your participation matters. And if you can't join us on the course, a donation in support of a participant helps ensure no family navigates a heart journey alone.

Kids' activity areas featuring CHAMPS Camp and Offbeats offer free, fun programming designed to get children moving and learning about heart-healthy living. Plus, enjoy face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, a balloon artist, and more on the day.

Run the crazy 5k inflatable obstacle course, Mega Bounce Run

Are you ready? 2025 will be Mega Fun as our team brings the craziest inflatables to locations across Canada. This is a "serious" run for people that want to have "serious" fun and physically challenge themselves and their friends to the best run ever. Join us to have the most fun you will ever have on an inflatable as you run, jump, and bounce around the Inflatables.

Mega Bounce is open to all levels of runners and walkers. Whether you are a seasoned runner or want to join the fun, this obstacle course is for you.

ALL PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A HEADBAND OR BUFF AND A FINISHERS MEDAL!

Register early to avoid disappointment! Race Day July 05, 2026

Each participant in the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon will receive a top-quality T-Shirt and a reusable silicon 200ml Hydrapack speed cup (while quantities last). Men’s and Women’s sizing from Small to XX-Large. Participants in the kid's race will receive a cotton shirt.

All races will finish on the track - stick around for the post-race festivities, including a traditional Stampede Breakfast!. A bag check will also be available at the Glenmore Track. Port-a-potties located by the start line.

Start Times

Half Marathon Early Start - 6:30am walkers and those over an estimated time of 2:40:00 - If you are faster than 2:40:00 please don't start at 6:30am, start at 7:20am. The results are skewed, and we will have to disqualify those who are faster.

Half Marathon - 7:20am

10km - 8:00am

5km - 8:15am

Kids Races - 10:00am (those in the 100m - 1200m races)
