Online Registration Deadlines:
Pro & Amateur Racing: Online registration for all race categories (Saturday and Sunday) closes Thursday, July 9th at 11:59 PM.
Kids’ Races: Online registration for Kids’ events remains open through Saturday, July 11th.
Save $10: Registering online before the July 9th deadline is the best way to avoid lines and save money. All on-site (walk-up) registrations will be subject to a $10 late fee.
Ride through history in the city where it all began. The Honor Major Taylor Fondo p/b Zipp invites you to celebrate the indomitable spirit of Marshall “Major” Taylor in his own hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana.
As the world’s first African-American sports superstar, Major Taylor broke barriers on the same streets where we now push our limits. For 2026, we honor his legacy with a professional-grade Grand Depart from the iconic Bottleworks District, sending riders southeast on brand-new scenic routes designed to challenge the legs and lift the spirit.
Ride Highlights:
A Hometown Tribute: Experience a managed, neutral police roll-out from the heart of Indy, moving as one peloton through the city that shaped a world champion.
Performance-Driven Routes: Choose between the 62-mile Gran (Metric Century) or the 30-35-mile Medio. Both routes feature professional chip-timing for athletes looking to test their mid-summer fitness.
Elite Support: Fully supported, themed SAG stops with elevated nutrition, hydration, and mechanical assistance to keep you moving.
The Bottleworks Experience: Start and finish at Indy’s premier urban destination. Enjoy secure, complimentary bike parking so you can transition from your ride to the front row of the evening's Pro Criteriums.
Curated Recovery: Your registration includes an official Honor Major Taylor t-shirt and a custom meal voucher for a curated selection of local restaurants inside The Garage Food Hall.
Zipp Wheelset Drawing: All amateur registrants are automatically entered to win one of two Zipp Wheelsets (valued at $2,500 each). Winners must be present at the 6:15 PM drawing to claim their prize.
This volunteer-organized, family-friendly, fun 5K Run/Walk takes place on the beautiful, historic campus of IPS Arsenal Technical High School and aims to combine health, history and a sense of community. First-time 5k runners, young runners and children are encouraged to participate. It is a casual, mixed-terrain 5k course (asphalt, concrete, brick, grass, gravel). Race starts at 9:00 a.m., and on-site registration and bib pickup start at 8:00 a.m.
Participate along with friends, family, your neighborhood, Tech alumni, clubs and teams, or join in as an individual. Everyone is welcome! Whether this is your first 5k or your 50th, we encourage runners, walkers, and teams to enjoy the course around the historic grounds and help raise money to support students.
High school seniors who would like to be eligible for an individual scholarship need to participate in some way - either completing the race or volunteering. Race entries for students are free, but do not include a race t-shirt. Arsenal Tech Extracurricular Clubs who want to be eligible for a grant also need to have members participate, volunteer or contribute in some way. Scholarships and grant amounts are determined by the funds raised, and number of applications received.
Since its inception in 2000, the Arsenal 5K Run/Walk has donated more than $65,000 in college scholarships to Near Eastside high school seniors, and has recently begun awarding funds to extracurricular clubs at Arsenal Technical High School.
