7:30 a.m. - Registration

8:00 a.m. - 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk

This race benefits the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital! Currently over 900 children from Louisiana are in active treatment in Memphis and affiliate hospitals. These families will never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food. Join us for this event as FUNraiser's for St Jude pledges to raise $300,000 in 2025.

Please join us for a great morning at the world famous Jungle Gardens. The race will be held on the hard packed road that travels throughout the gardens. This will definitely be the most scenic race in Louisiana and one not to miss!

After you run the race, enjoy some jambalaya provided by the Knights of Columbus from Egan, LA or step over to the world famous McIlhenny Factory to see how Tabasco products are made. Be sure to visit the gift shops for great items for your Christmas list.

Virtual Run

We are offering a Jungle Gardens Virtual 5K or 7K event with a t-shirt for $35. If you can't pickup your packet, we can ship it to you for a $8 Postage fee that you can purchase when registering.

T-shirt Guaranteed Date

For the 5K & 7K event with a t-shirt, participants will receive a t-shirt. T-shirt IS guaranteed to those that are registered by October 13th. There will not be a second shirt order this year. The option to purchase a shirt will no longer be available after that date.

1 Mile, 5K & 7K participants will receive finisher medals.

Packet pick up will be at Tri Running located at 2813 Johnston St., Lafayette, La. on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 11am-6pm.

    Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

    Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

    High School: We also welcome our High School runners! Our high school students will be running a 2 mile race.

    Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

    Makeup Date Information: 5/17/2026

    Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

    Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

    Celebrate National Mental Health Awareness Month by joining Iberia Mental Health Initiative for their annual Bayou Side Run. On Saturday, May 2, 2026, grab your person or persons to be “bayou” side as we race the streets of New Iberia raising mental health awareness and funds for Iberia Mental Health Initiative. Registration will include entry into the 5k or 1-mile run/walk, t-shirt, finisher medal and an experience of a lifetime. Chip timing will be used for the race.

    Thank you for choosing to partner with Iberia Mental Health Initiative as we seek to raise mental health awareness in our community.

    Registration Fees (Early & Late Fees & dates):

    • Early Registration 5k: $30.00

    • Early Registration 1 Mile Fun Run: $30.00

    • Late Registration is April 12th - May 1st: $35.00

    • Race day registration: 6:30am - 7:30am Onsite Cash Only - $35.00

    Team Discount Registration for 10 or More Members

    • Now till April 11th : $20.00 per individual for Early Registration Once 10 have registered (See Below)

    • From April 12th - May 1st : $25.00 per individual for Late Registration Once 10 have registered (See Below)

    Create a Run/Walk Team and invite your family and friends to join your team. Once the 10th member registers, the first 9 members will receive a $10 refund on their registration. Then everyone after that will only pay $20 for their registration before April 12th. April 12th - May 1st they will pay $25 for their registration. The team with the largest number of members will win a prize.

    Must be Registered by April 10th to be guaranteed a shirt.

    • The Iberia Mental Health Initiative is a coalition of concerned citizens dedicated to identifying and addressing the mental health needs of our community. We are composed of medical and mental health professionals, legal and law enforcement professionals, education personnel, clergy, and suicide awareness advocates, and other community supporters. All proceeds are poured back into the community to help raise awareness for mental health through programs and events.

    Inclement Weather Policy

    • No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.

    The safety of our athletes and volunteers is our primary concern. In the event of inclement weather, the race will continue under the following circumstances:

    • Rain - the event will NOT be cancelled due to rain alone.

    • Lightning - If lightning is seen or thunder is heard, the event will be postponed for a minimum of 20 minutes until no signs of the storm are present. Participants should seek shelter in their vehicles or a nearby building if available. If lightning continues 20 minutes after the scheduled event start, the race will be subject to cancellation.

    You can help Ghadur Court # 129 Auxiliary of A.E.A.O.N.M.S., Inc. and the City of New Iberia with this great National Community Health Initiative (NCHI). This initiative will continue to reduce the burden of diabetes; diversify efforts and resources to address other health concerns; reduce key health disparities; and improve lives through health promotion, outreach and advocacy. Areas of concern include Cancer, Alzheimers, HIV/AIDS, and of course Diabetes. Proceeds will benefit this cause, so please join us at the Run/Walk and Health Fair or make a donation. Thanks in advance for your participation.

    Medals will be given for these age groups: Group 1 - 18 and under, Group 2 - 19-35, Group 3 - 36-50, Group 4 - 51-65, and Group 5 - 66 and older, males and females, first, second and third place finishers.

    The race will begin at Bank Avenue Park at the corner of Bank Avenue and Caudron Street at 8:00 a.m., and end in the park on Caudron Street. The route will be as follows: Bank Avenue, right on Robert S., left on Sydney, right on Dale, left on Ann, left on Lafayette, left on Bank, right on Versailles Crecent, to Caudron into the park.

    The Health Fair will begin at 9:00 a.m. under the pavilion at Bank Avenue Park and end at 11:00 a.m.

    A fun, family friendly 5k through beautiful Youngsville, LA. All proceeds will support the effort to preserve our present Church, and to build and expand a new worship space for St. Anne Parish.

    This year we are offering the ability to purchase the race t-shirt. You may purchase as many as you would like for $10 each. Click on the Race T-shirt For Sale tab at the top of the page or they are available for purchase during your registration process.

    The theme this year is "Paint The Town Red".

    The deadline for a t-shirt is October 6, 2026 to be guaranteed at packet pickup.

    Will take place on Friday, October 16 in the parish hall from 2 to 6 PM located at 201 Church St., Youngsville. If you cannot make it at that time you can pickup your packet on Race morning.

    We have a No Refund Policy. Please accept that your registration will be considered a donation in the instance you are not able to attend the event.

    The Race Benefits the St. Anne New Church Expansion. We are grateful for your support as all proceeds will not only assist in the success of the race, it will afford us the opportunity to support our faith community as we preserve the history and beauty of our current church, as she will undergo an expansion to accommodate Youngsville’s growing Catholic community.
