A bike extravaganza to raise money for pediatric cancer!

Come and join us Sunday August 17th at SpokeNGear in Two Harbors

The tutus will converge on Two Harbors again to raise money for Hepatoblastoma Research and to help support children fighting cancer! There will be a paved 23 mile route along the road shoulder for tutu clad riders to make their way to Knife River and back along the scenic highway, and there will be a cue card self nagivated 50 mile gravel route where you are likely to get a little mud on your tulle!

Both ride distances are not timed. Please choose a route you can comfortably complete by 2:00pm to come score big at the silent auction!

Pre-Registration is closed, but SAME DAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE!

For Same Day Registration: If you are planning to ride the 50 mile gravel, Plan for checking in between 8 and 8:30, and for the 23 mile, check in between 9 and 9:30 should give you enough time. Please park at the Credit Union) then bike to the SpokenGear and Cedar coffee, then look for the tent and all the action in the woods behind the shop.

All riders, please wear a helmet, bring a water bottle, and a bike in good functioning condition. For Gravel riders, you will need to be able to Self Navigate, read cue cards, and use an odometer. Paved riders- do not worry the route will be well marked and you can follow the signs and the tutus!

23 mile Paved Ride (registration at 9-9:45, Ride rolls at 10)

Ride Registration: $35 (until August 10)

SAME DAY REGISTRATION for 23 mile paved: $45

50 mile Gravel Adventure Ride (registration at 8-8:45, ride rolls at 9)

Ride Registration: $50 (until August 10)

SAME DAY REGISTRATION for 50 Mile Gravel: $65

Virtual options are available for those who cannot join us in person but would like to join us in spirit to help fundraise for our cause!

With each prior ride, YOUR pedal power, fundraising efforts, and auction bidding enthusiasm, has raised an average of $20,000 -$22,00 for our charities from each ride!!

Our fundraising goes 50% to research (Cincinnati Childrens Hepatoblastoma Research) and 50% to support children in cancer treatment and their families (30% Ronald McDonald Charities, 10% Dragonfly Foundation, and 10% Northern Lights Foundation).

Over 50 volunteers are involved in bringing this event together--huge thank you to all of you!!!

    The Northland 5K for Food Allergy is back for our 4th year for family-friendly, food allergy fun at Endion Station in Duluth, Minnesota!

    This 3.1 mile out and back, chip-timed, run/walk will begin and end at Endion Station in Canal Park, Duluth, MN. There will be awards and prize packs for the top male and female finishers!

    The Kids' Fun Run (for anyone 12 and under) will begin immediately following the 5K, expected start time will be between 10-10:30am.

    There will also be door prizes! After you finish the race, enter your bib number for a chance to win a door prize of your choosing. That’s right—you pick the prize you want to win!

    Whether you’re eyeing that gift card, cool gear, or something fun for the family, just drop your number next to the prize you want most. One entry per runner. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony—must be present to win!

    Allergy-conscious food/beverages will be enjoyed after the event. Additionally, there will be lawn games, kids activities, allergy-aware business/product info and samples to take home, as well as representation from the Duluth Fire Fighters and EMT staff.

    Online registration will be open until the start of the 5K at 9 AM on 5/16/26. This year your registration will include a 5K shirt, embroidered stocking hat OR embroidered baseball cap!

    You may also choose the 'No Swag' option during registration which means you will NOT receive a shirt or hat.

    Registrations after 5/1/26 will not include any race-day swag.

    Registration price will increase to $40 on May 1st, 2026. Register Early!!

    Same day registration and packet-pickup begins at 8:00 AM.

    RUN/WALK START TIMES: 5K - 9:00AM KIDS' RUN - immediately following 5K (approx. 10AM)

    REGISTRATION: $35 - February 1-April 30 $40 - May 1-16**

    COURSE DETAILS: 3.1 mile course starting and ending at Endion Station, going northeast on the Lakewalk toward Beacon Pointe and back.

    *packets may be picked up on race morning, however we encourage picking up the night before if possible.

    **registrations received after May 1st are not eligible for shirt or hat.

    Please note: The Lakewalk will NOT be closed to the public on race morning. There is potential for congestion to occur on the trail at times. Please keep this in mind as you prepare for race morning. We ask that you please share the trail by being courteous and respectful to those using the trail for non-5K associated activities.

    PARKING: The 5K will start and finish at Endion Station in Canal Park. There are many paid parking options available in Canal Park, including:

    • N Lake Ave Parking

    • Parking between Canal Park Lodge and Canal Park Brewing Company: Parking Lot

    • Metered parking along Canal Park Drive

    In honor of one of the best humans who ever lived, whose life was tragically cut short a week before her 35th birthday in 2015, please join us for the second annual Jodie Schmahl-Olson Memorial 5K! Jodie passed away on May 24, 2015, after a very short but courageous fight against Glioblastoma brain cancer. The Jodie Schmahl-Olson Memorial 5K is held in downtown Two Harbors, MN, Jodie's hometown. Event proceeds will go to the Glioblastoma Foundation to help research and support for other families fighting the fight against Glioblastoma. This event is a run/walk. This event is non-chipped and no official times will be recorded... however, there WILL be a race clock at the finish line. Our main goal is to raise as much money as possible for the Glioblastoma Foundation.
