    Run For The Chorus 5K

    Saturday, August 8, 2026

Race starts at 9 AM | Packet pickup & race day registration opens at 8 AM

Severns Valley Baptist Church – Elizabethtown, KY

This isn’t your typical Saturday morning 5K.

Join us for the Run For The Chorus 5K—a fun, music-filled run that supports the Heart of Kentucky Chorus, a local nonprofit community chorus right here in Elizabethtown.

We’ll kick things off with a few songs from the chorus to set the tone, and as you make your way through the course, you’ll be cheered on by live singers stationed along the route. Seriously—live music while you run! It’s the kind of motivation you didn’t know you needed.

The race starts and finishes in the Severns Valley Baptist Church parking lot, and you’ll be supported every step of the way by our chorus members and volunteers.

If you love running, live music, or just want to support a great cause in a fun way, we’d love to have you there.

Come run (or walk) with us and be part of something truly one-of-a-kind!

Join us for another fun scenic run through White Mills, Kentucky on Saturday, August 15, 2026, beginning at 8:30am EDT.

The White Mills Community is home to the ever-growing and Historic White Mills Christian Camp, which started in June 1940 as a “camper” week at the old White Mills hotel, where 37 campers were in attendance for the first-ever full week of camp. In March 1949, the White Mills Christian Assembly formed and purchased the old hotel, where eventually they would add dorms and hire a camp manager. Today, they offer 25 camp sessions during the ten weeks of summer, during which hundreds upon hundreds of children come to camp.

Every year the small-town community of White Mills, in western Hardin County, Kentucky, hosts a festival called White Mills Days. Various activities start on Friday evenings, such as beauty and pet contests, music, fellowship, and fun. On Saturday, the small town shuts down, and the activities resume on and around the Historic White Mills Christian Camp property. Tractor show, baby contests, parade, auction, car show, vendor booths, and in addition to that, the White Mills 5K Run has always kicked off the big day, which ends with a chicken dinner in the old hotel dining room. The race begins and ends by the White Mills Post Office, where you will then run across the old truss bridge that was built in 1899, cross over the Nolin River, and trek alongside the river, crossing over Hwy 84, continuing along the river for most of the run. It is a relatively flat course, mostly shaded along a scenic country road with the turnaround marked and announced.

The White Mills Civic League spends weeks preparing for the festival. The goal is to raise money to keep the White Mills Community beautiful and safe and to support the White Mills Volunteer Fire Department and Ball Park, where the Civic League hosts concerts in the park and different family functions. We are a small town surrounded by the Nolin River, beautiful corn and soybean fields, and livestock farms. These things mentioned are our only avenue in fundraising for our beautiful community, and we hope that you will come out and join us. We would love to have you run through our town!!!

All proceeds from the 5K race will go to the White Mills Civic League.
