3.1 Miles 5k Run Spartan Trail Walk

Our 5th annual, fun, local, hometown 5k race to help "Raise the Bar" for all Springport running athletes. This event will be run entirely in the town of Springport around a 2 lap road and trail course. There will be ample opportunities for spectators to cheer on all the athletes.

We will again start and finish at the Springport Bible Church this year. This change will help make less foot traffic on sidewalk on M-99 in front of the tavern and hopefully give us some more room. Our event is still GROWING!!! Speaking of growing this race has helped provide us with: warmups, poles, crossbars, pit covers, cart and starting blocks, chalk/tape, training tools, all new throwing implements and all new aluminum scorers tables for our field events! Our facilities are getting back in to top notch conditions! New school records have been set with these helpful additions and it is surely a sign of things to come. Records and rules are made to be broken!

T-shirt included with run, as well as some finish line giveaways!

Please park at the Springport Church to the rear of the lot we start and finish on the driveway. Overflow parling behind Hotel Tavern and the high school. We need to keep the roads clear for our runners!

There will be a timing clock but it will NOT be a chip timed event. This is about getting together having fun challenging each other to simply raise their own personal bar. Push their own limits! This is the perfect first race or perfect small race you will enjoy coming back to.

Join strava and the Springport Spartan runner's club then log this run for potentially bonus prizes! * 😉

Our Track team will benefit greatly from the funds we raise at this event. So let's keep this ball rolling once again and "Raise the Bar" a little more! We won't stop either...just keep raising it up for the continued success of our student athletes! GO BLUE, GO SPARTANS!

Volunteers are needed! Please use the contact button.

    VIRTUAL 5K RUN/WALK

If you cannot make the Run Albion series events in person, but you would still like to participate and support the local non-profits that are beneficiaries of Run Albion's proceeds, you can complete the Virtual Run Albion series! A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, or the trail, or the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. All participants will receive a medal!

What: This is a virtual race, so you choose your own course and time yourself.

When: Complete your race any time during race weekend, April 24th through April 26th. Medals and other race swag will ship by Friday May 15, 2025.

Where: You choose the course, and you time yourself. Text your results using the link provided when you signed up, and that will be your official time.

Why: You want to participate because you love Albion as much as we do; you can't always be in Albion in person.

Cost: The price is $30 and includes a finishers' medal and race swag item.

Series Awards: Virtual participants are not eligible for series awards, and there will not be a virtual series category. It is important to note if you participate in 2 in-person events and 1 virtual event, you'll be eligible for IN-PERSON SERIES AWARD.

Join us for Miles That Matter on Saturday, May 16, an outdoor community fundraiser in downtown Leslie supporting local athletes with special needs, hosted by BOSS Cider and CrossFit AFK.

This event brings our community together to move with purpose and raise money that helps provide funding for competitions, jerseys, and life-changing opportunities for students with special needs in Ingham county.

Participants can choose how they want to make their miles count:

    • 🚣 Row-A-Thon – Grab nine friends and work together to row a marathon.

    • 🚮 Bike a Metric Century – Take on the challenge of riding 60 miles as a team. Riders will work together to reach the century mark while supporting an incredible cause.

    • đŸš¶Pay-As-You-Go Walk (or run!) – Want a more casual way to participate? Join the community walk and donate to walk laps around the block surrounding BOSS Cider. Walk as many laps as you’d like—every lap helps raise funds and awareness.

We will have two heats for the Row-A-Thon and Bike a Metric Century events.

    HEAT 1: 10AM-1:30PM

    HEAT 2: 2PM-5:30PM

Whether you're chasing an endurance goal, supporting a loved one, or simply showing up for a great cause, every mile and every dollar raised helps create more opportunities for athletes to compete, grow, and thrive.

Bring your friends, family, and teammates and help us prove that every mile truly matters.
