Come and join us on Saturday August 29th, running or walking the beautiful trails of Crippen Park on Bowen Island!

    8:45 am: Kids' 1.0K run

    9:15 am: 10K run and 5K run/walk

10:30 am: Prize giving on the Library lawn

Online registration starts on June 15 and ends on August 28th at 9:00 pm. On-site registrations accepted on Saturday August 29th from 7:45 am on.

This year we are excited to encourage everyone to register on a TEAM! Your team can have as many people as you want but must be more than 2 people. How about a family team - the Smith Team?!

New information this year: We have shortened the kids' run to ONE K (from 1.5K) to allow younger kids to easily finish the run.

We have a $75 family registration fee, valid for grandparents, parents and kids, up to 5 family members. Here is how to do it:

    1. Click on the Family Pack button and register yourself in a sub-event.

    2. Click on Add Another Registrant.

    3. Remember to CLICK ON FAMILY PACK FOR EACH MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY BEFORE choosing their sub-events (10K, 5K, etc.).

    4. You will be charged only $75 at the end of your transaction! If not, please don't pay, but go back to the sub-event for family members as it is easy to miss the details. Contact us at 604-828-3249 if this still doesn't work for you. We will arrange a refund or guide you through the process.

If you're on your own, there is a $35 individual registration fee for 5km and 10km distances, or $10 for a child in the kids' run.

We are not selling new T-shirts this year, but on run day there will be a variety available from previous years at very good prices!

Your registration fee (and your donation) goes directly to Komera Canada, a registered Canadian charity that supports young women at high school and university in Rwanda;. They depend on us to complete their education, so please bring your family and friends to join us for the run/walk on August 29th!

Local running groups, event organizer & club

    Distance: 20.9 km

Mondays Run Club started in April 2021 with an invitation to connection, not competition. A 5K along the Vancouver seawall and a beer after, no timers, no pressure, just people craving belonging. Founded on the belief that movement, belonging, and the courage to show up matter most, especially when life feels heavy, Mondays Run Club has grown to more than 100 runners gathering every Monday. From first-timers to trail runners, they are held together by warmth, consistency, and leaders who genuinely care. Every Monday at 5:30 PM, seven pace groups set off from somewhere new in Vancouver. The route changes, but the welcome never does.

What began as a joke between friends living near Fraser Street became Vancouver's most community-driven run club. Founded in November 2013 by Michelle, Jesse, Cody, and Kat, Fraser Street Run Club has grown to more than 100 runners who believe in keeping it social, sustainable, and open to everyone. The crew attracts people of all levels who love trails, city streets, and the conversations that happen along the way. Every Friday at 7 PM from East 17th Ave and Tuesdays at the Eric Hamber Track, the same philosophy guides them: get people moving and keep the community strong.

In April 2014, a few Vancouver runners training for a half-marathon discovered something unexpected: post-run beers tasted better when shared. What started as a casual reward after training sessions quickly evolved into East Van Run Crew, founded by Ryan as a gathering place where running meets friendship and laughter. Today, EVRC anchors Vancouver's running culture with radical inclusivity at its core. Every Monday, the crew assembles at a rotating local brewery for group runs that double as social adventures, mixing trail time with community connection. There's no hierarchy here, no pressure to chase splits or PRs. Instead, EVRC celebrates movement for movement's sake, drawing runners of every pace and experience level into a space where judgment dissolves and camaraderie thrives. Beyond the weekly runs, the crew organizes grassroots charity races that funnel energy back into the neighborhoods they love. East Van Run Crew has become proof that running is never just about the miles, it's about who you run them with.
