Knabe Law Firm | Greater Cleveland’s Bike Attorneys
Ken is more than an attorney - he is an avid rider who incorporates his observations when riding into his legal framework to prevent crashes, he knows what it’s like out there and the impact of bike accidents.
The Knabe Law Firm helps our clients through all phases of settlement negotiation and litigation, providing straightforward and accurate advice so people can take care of themselves and their families, while we take care of the critical legal details to ensure our clients recover their losses.
Ken is working to foster a culture of safety and respect for cyclists by seeking to make our city safer and more livable through active transportation. He serves on nonprofit boards and committees including the Ohio to Erie Trail, and the Ohio Bicycle Federation; he gives educational seminars and speeches to local cycling groups promoting best practices; and he supports local advocacy and ridership through sponsorships and donations.
Ken has found that unfamiliarity of the applicable laws contributes to this problem, so in an effort to close the information gap Ken authored Cycling Rights: Bicycles, E-Bikes & Micro-Mobility Devices published in September 2020. Cycling Rights: Second Edition was released in February 2024.
Cycling Rights is aimed at educating both cyclists and motorists and is full of useful law specifically applied to car/bike interactions, real case studies, and safety tips for riders novice to pro.
Profits from the purchase of Cycling Rights through the Bike Cleveland website go directly to support the organization’s mission of creating a region that is sustainable, connected, healthy, and vibrant by promoting bicycling and advocating for safe and equitable transportation for all.
