KITCHENER, LET'S DO THIS! ALL AGES, ALL ABILITIES! The 5K Foam Fest is a one of a kind Obstacle Course based Fun Run! Join us for over 25 obstacles including the world's largest inflatable waterslide, mud pits and 2.5 million cubic feet of foam! Rock out all day to awesome music, enjoy a FREE kids zone for kids 6 and under, taste delicious food, shop from local vendors and celebrate your success in our well-stocked beer garden. With a variety of obstacles and a ton of foam, the 5K Foam Fest is an exciting challenge for experienced and beginner runners alike...Walk it, Run it, Charge it, Fun it; this course should be enjoyed at your own pace and all obstacles are optional! If you ever looked at the Ribfest and Craft Beer Show and said, "the only thing that could make this better is running," then this is for you. Back in 2026, Run Waterloo is partnering with your favourite summer festival.

RIBFEST & CRAFT BEER SHOW: July 17-19

Run at Ribfest pairs craft brews with running in the best possible way. We've put together a 1.25k loop through Victoria park that starts and ends in the licensed area, where you drink a beer sample each loop. On top of that, race entry comes with more beer tokens and everything in the Sunday Ribfest VIP package. Why wouldn't you want to #RunAtRibfest?

• 7:00AM- Race chip and kit pick up

• 7:30am-

o 5000m heat 1(sub 19-ish)

• 7:55am

o 5000 heat 2 (19-23)

• 8:25am

o 5000m heat 3 (23+)

• 9:00am- The Mile

• 8:50am- Wave 1 800m (fast heat)

• 8:55am- Wave 2 800m (slow heat)

• 9:15am- 400m backwards race

• 9:30am- Elimination Mile Madness

o Fun heat first

o Then competitive women's heat

o Then competitive men's heat

• 10:00am-ish- Kids Races

o 800m (timed) - (Big kids, 12 and under)

o 400m (medium kids (6-9ish, not timed, no parents)

o 100m (2-6ish yo, parents welcome)

o 50m (2 and under, parents welcome)

KIDS RACE DETAILS

• 100% Free for all

• Age ranges are to your discretion

• All participants will receive a race bib and participant ribbon to make it feel like an official race experience!

• Top 3 men and top 3 women will be awarded with medals in the 800m

• This won't be perfect because we won't have enough kids to have awards by age group...but we'll have fun with whoever signs up!

Run Pure + Simple is our no-bells series of races. These events offer great atmospheres with nothing extra, and are FREE to Run Waterloo members.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or you've never toed the start line of a race, this event is for you! This is the sixth running of this great 1,609 metre event. Most people can walk a mile in 15-20 minutes.

No swag, no food, no awards, just a certified and chiptimed summertime 1 Mile to add to your running schedule.
