4.1 Miles Run Walk

CORE of McLean, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is holding our annual 6.6k (4.1-mile) run/walk to benefit the community of McLean, IL.

This point-to-point 6.6k/4.1-mile run/walk starts in Funks Grove (shuttle service is provided from McLean to Funks Grove), with participants running or walking on the Mother Road herself to our new park under the old water tower in McLean, which was funded by previous proceeds from this event. This race has become a much-anticipated must-do for many—join us in having a great time raising money for our community!

    Race Info

    The race takes place at Tipton Park (2405 General Electric Road, Bloomington) and is an out and back on Constitution Trail. The Kids One Mile Run starts at 5:30 pm and the 5K starts at 6:00 pm.

    Race Fees

    5K early bird pricing is only $15! On 5/21 the price increases to $20. The Kids Run is $10.

    Bib Pickup

    Bib pickup will be available at Fleet Feet Bloomington during regular business hours from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm on Tuesday. You can also pick up your bib at Tipton Park before the race on Wednesday from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

    Swag

    There are no age group awards but all participants will receive a finisher's medal for each race. There is an option to pre-order a cotton unisex race t-shirt for $20 when you register. T-shirt deadline is May 21.

    This 5K Run / Walk will honor U.S. Marine Major Reid B. Nannen, a Hopedale native, who gave his life in service while training at TOPGUN NAS in Fallon, Nevada on March 1, 2014.

    Back for 2026 - 1 Mile Memorial Walk Signs

    Join us in the opportunity to honor those we love during the 1 Mile Memorial Walk. For just a $25 donation, we will have a yard sign created that honors and/or remembers someone that you love. These signs will be placed along the race/walk course. Please consider making this additional $25 donation! Once you have completed your registration, we will contact you about who's name you would like on the sign. Click on the DONATE Button to order your signs today!

    Deadline for ordering yard signs is June 15.

    Shirt Guarantee

    You must register by June 15th to be guaranteed your shirt size. (After June 15th, first come first serve based on availability.)

    Packet Pickup

    Packet pickup is on July 3, from 8am-7pm at the Hopedale Wellness Center. Day of pickup will be at the race registration table. Early pickup is strongly encouraged.

    We hope you will join us for our annual 5k Run/Walk event supporting the Olympia Bass Fishing Team! Our youth fishing team travels all over the state competing in tournaments in the Fall and Spring. We are dedicated to teaching our young anglers the joys of fishing and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Your support will help with tournament fees, travel expenses, and equipment needs.

    Following the race, be sure to stick around and enjoy the rest of Stanford’s Good Old Days Festival.

    Festival activities include: food/ craft vendors and live music at the park, parade, car show, pool games, pony rides, petting zoo, and foam party. The evening will conclude with a grand fireworks display. Full schedule and details about the festival can be found on their Facebook page.
