Instead of segregating by speed, she created space where stroller-pushing parents run alongside marathon veterans, where first-time walkers share the same finish line as seasoned athletes. The mechanism is elegantly simple: everyone runs for exactly 20 minutes outbound, then 20 minutes back, guaranteeing that all 300 members finish simultaneously regardless of how much ground they covered. This time-based approach dismantles the anxiety that keeps many people from joining running groups, replacing competitive hierarchy with synchronized arrival. Twice weekly on Wednesdays at 18:30 and Sundays at 09:00, Cambridge runners gather at rotating locations announced via Instagram, exploring their city together and proving that the most radical act in running culture is finishing as one.
