    Ride options include a beautiful metric century (62 miles), a rolling mid-distance (30 miles), and a fun filled family ride (6 miles). Each route winds through rolling

    countryside, beautiful farmlands, young forests and past historic sites.

    The 24th Annual French Creek Iron Tour

    Take a scenic cycling tour through historic iron furnace country and have a blast! Pass by many properties that have been preserved forever by French &

    Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust. With seven road courses ranging from 11 to 100 miles, a Petite Gravel (60 miles) and a Grande Gravel (80 miles), there’s a ride for everyone!

    French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust preserves, stewards and connects people to the land in northern Chester County where iron blast furnaces and forges served as cornerstones of industry in colonial Pennsylvania – hence the name “Iron Tour”. When you ride in the Iron Tour, you have a direct impact on the preservation of the pristine countryside that surrounds you. Since its founding by Sam and Eleanor Morris in 1967, French & Pickering has protected over 13,600 acres.

    All who have ridden in the previous Iron Tours have contributed to conserving these natural vistas and areas. Your participation in the 2026 Iron Tour will assure these and future preserved areas remain that way forever.

    Registration Costs & Deadlines:

    Early Bird, January 21 at 9am - April 30: $65 (includes optional 2026 Iron Tour t-shirt)

    Regular, May 1 - June 4: $75

    Late, June 5 - June 12 at 5pm: $80

The 2026 jersey celebrates the country's 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and highlights the role Chester County's historic landscape had in shaping the country.     Refund Policy:

    Registration fees are non-refundable. If you are able, we welcome you to stop by the Kimberton Fairgrounds for the festivities and food. If you registered during Early Bird registration and selected to receive a t-shirt, you are welcome to pick up your shirt at the Fairgrounds between 7am and 10:30am on the day of the ride, even if you are unable to ride. After 10:30am, all remaining t-shirts will be sold.

    Welcome to Adventure Bike Camp!

    This 5-day bike camp is located in Phoenixville, PA.

    Primary Drop-Off: Reservoir Park Pavilion 601 Franklin Ave, Phoenixville, PA 19460

    *Inclement Weather Drop-Off:

    Phoenixville Fire Company 150 Paradise St., Phoenixville, PA 19460 (Families will be notified by 8:00 a.m. in case we need to change location.

    Half-Day Camp 9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. *Pick up by 12:15

    Full Day Camp 9:00 - 3:00 p.m. *Pick up by 3:15 (Pack a lunch)

    This is a Bike Camp!

    This is camp is the perfect blend of bike things, arts, crafts, adventuring and learning!

    Participants will learn all about their bikes and how to properly maintain them. We'll teach safe bike handling skills, teach and play on-the-bike games, and of course, coach campers through level-appropriate trails at the Phoenixville Bike Park.

    Campers should also expect mini-hikes and creek walks as they learn about local history and wildlife. (yup- we throw some cool knowledge into the mix!)

    Most importantly, our campers pedal to local points of interests, like the Upper Schuylkill Valley Park Animal Refuge, Lock 60 Recreational Area, and more!

    Did we mention that we end most of our days with a cool sweet treat from Phoenixville local businesses?

    Sol Riders Summer Camps are exactly how summer breaks were meant to be spent!

    Campers should be comfortable on their bikes, and ready to ride at Adventure Camp.

    (No training wheels, please.) *Look for a separate program for taking it from four wheels to two.)

    Ideal for kids ages 6ish - 15ish.

    (If your child is 5.5 y.o., with strong cycling skills, and would like to participate- -please reach out to Heather at [email protected] lets chat!)

    Weather:

    **As much as we would LOVE to guarantee dry sunny days, that's impossible. In the case of mild wet weather, we will spend our time at the Reservoir Park Pavilion. We'll offer arts, crafts, board and card games until the weather clears.

    **If the weather is severe, we will spend our day inside at the Phoenixville Firehouse Address: lLocated at 150 Paradise St. Phoenixville, PA 19460, where we can ride inside the empty truck bays, enjoy board and card games, puzzles, etc. Campers are encouraged to bring a favorite book to read or even a sketchbook for harsh weather days. *Once the weather clears, we'll head out for our next adventure!

    *Coach Heather will contact you via text and email by 8:00 a.m. for morning drop off, or, in the case of afternoon weather change, and end up at FireHouse for pick-up, we will also text you location switch.

    How will they Learn?

    Participants will learn

    ~ through skill sessions

    ~ on the bike games

    ~ on practice rides

    What To Bring:

    Mandatory:

    ~a well-fitted bike in great condition. Check tires for rot, chains for rust, bolts and screws are tight, brakes work?.

    Not quite sure how to check these things? Please bring the bike to a bike shop for a tune up. *A bike that breaks down at camp can be a real bummer. We can't share with you enough the importance of a bike in great working order.

    ~A well-fitted helmet in great condition

    ~ Two spare tubes that fits their tires (bike shop)

    ~A water bottle or hydration pack- or- A small back pack they can ride with and carry everything they need, including snacks and/or lunch if applicable.

    ~closed-toe shoes secure shoes. No sandals, flip-flops-or crocs. Safety first, please.

    ~Snacks (none sharing)

    ~Personal medicine if needed: Inhalers, Epipens..etc.

    Highly Recommended:

    ~protective eyewear

    ~sunscreen/bug repellent

    ~bike gloves

    ~ padded bike shorts (trust us! By day two, campers will be grateful)

    Not sure if bike is on great working order?

    Please take your bike for a tune up at least once a year- give two weeks for the shop to finish your bike.

    Behavior and Rider Policy

    Participants MUST:

    ~ be interested in learning and practicing.

    ~ arrive ready to listen and follow instructions: Why? SAFETY! Coaches are here to teach and keep participants safe. Participants must be able to follow directions at all times. Biking, regardless of skill level, comes with inherent risks, coaches are there to lead a safe experience. If your child has a one-on-one aid, who is ready to support and ride with their kiddo, great! We're happy to have them! Just reach out to me.

    ~be respectful and kind to other participants and coaches. (Kind words, and keeping hands and feet to self is expected.)

    Incidents will be documented and shared with parent/guardian either in real-time or at pick-up depending on severity of offense. After two incidents, parent or guardian can choose to participate with their child for the reminder of the camp, or, will have to withdraw them. A third incident will result in expulsion from Sol Riders LLC programs. No refunds will be issued in case of withdrawal or expulsion.

    Participants COULD:

    ~bring a backpack with extra socks, clothes, rain slicker or coat (in case of a unexpected weather event)

    Full Day Bike Camp $580.00

    Pricing includes extra snacks, sweet end of day treats and branded Sol Rider's Swag!

    WAIVERS:

    Once you are registered, we will send you an email with out Waivers.

    *By signing up for one of Sol Riders LLC programs, the parent/guardian of the minor gives permission for the possible use of their image during camp activities, as it may be shared as part of program advertisements. (Print: magazine ads, brochures, postcards, etc. Sol Riders LLC “RidewithSol.com” Website gallery, Social Media posts, etc.)
