DARE TO DOMINATE CHALLENGE– HOUSE OF SPORTS

Saturday, February 28, 2026

Registration will begin at 8:00AM.

RULES

The Competition

Team relay of 3, ages over 8. The goal is to score as many points as possible in the fastest time. There are 44 points possible; 6 points max for each of the 6 challenges, plus earning 8 bonus points max for fastest time. Teams are ranked by total score, with the fastest time as the tie breaker. **Waivers will need to be signed by each competitor.

General Rules

Teams need to complete 6 sports challenges within a timeframe. Each player on the team must complete 2 challenges. There must be an attempt on every ball/challenge before moving to the next one. There can only be one attempt per ball/challenge. Once a teammate has completed a challenge, they must run to the next one (where their next teammate will be waiting), give them a high five, which will be an indication for the next player to start their challenge and so on. (*Teams will be able to choose which teammate they would like completing each challenge.) Attempts must be in order: from the ball closest to the target to the ball furthest away. The shot must be made from behind the shot boundary. A shot boundary may never be touched. An infraction of any of these general rules will result in 0 points for that ball.

**There will be a referee at each challenge tallying points. There will also be a referee at the beginning of the race and one at the finish line.

Start

Teams are called to the starting line by the Referee in order of their competitor number. The competitor may cross the starting line on the Referee’s command: ‘READY, SET…’, followed by a whistle. After the whistle, the starting player may begin the race.

THE SPORTS CHALLENGES – (IN ORDER FROM FIRST CHALLENGE TO LAST)

  1. Wall Climbing

After the whistle, the player will attempt to climb the wall without falling. The points will be determined by how far the player will reach each colored mark. The lowest colored mark reached will be 1 point, half way colored mark will be 3 points and 6 points to reach the top and ring the bell. After the attempt, they will then have to run to their teammate at the basketball challenge.

  1. Basketball

Once their teammate gives them a high five, they can begin to pick up the first ball. If the shot of the ball goes completely through the basketball net, points will be scored: 1 for the ball closest to the target, 2 for the second line and 3 for the farthest. (**Remember: ball closest to the target will be first moving your way to the ball furthest away from the target.) Once all 3 attempts have been complete, the player will run to the next challenge where they will meet their next teammate.

  1. Soccer

Once their teammate gives them a high five, they may begin to kick the first ball closest to the target. If the ball goes into the net, this will be 1 point. 2 points for the second line and 3 for the line farthest from the net. Touching the ball with anything other than a foot will result in 0 points for the entire challenge. Once all 3 attempts have been complete, the player will run up the stairs to the second floor where they will meet their next teammate.

  1. Batting Cage

After their teammate that have run up the stairs, they will need to give them a high five before beginning. The player will then be able to pick up the bat and wait for the first ball to be pitched to them. All three pitches will be at a speed of 27mph. Points will be determined by each hit. First hit will be one point, second hit will be two points and the third hit will be three points.

  1. Football

The teammate from the batting cage after completion will run to the football area where they will give them a high five to begin. The player will begin to pick up the football and attempt to throw the ball through the center opening of the football target. 1 point for the ball closest to the target, 2 for the second farthest and 3 for the farthest. After all 3 attempts have been made, the player will run to the last challenge.

  1. Golf

Once their teammate from the football area finishes, they will need to run to the golf area to give them a high five before they can begin. The player at the golf will then be able to pick up the golf club and ball to begin their shot at the first line. The balls may be adjusted by hand on the mat and hit at any order (making sure the ball is behind each line). Moving the ball in front of the line may result in 0 points. If the ball from the line closest to the hole goes inside, this will be 1 point, the second line will be 2 points and the furthest line will be 3 points. After all 3 attempts have been made, the player will run through the finish line. The timer will be stopped as soon as the finish line is touched.
