We are excited to announce Autism on the Run. On April 11th, 2026 at the Park at Riverwalk in Bakersfield, California. We will have a 10k, 5k, 2k, and family walk.

Pricing is $45 a person for 10k, 5k, 2k and includes a shirt and medal

Pricing for Family is $160 and includes 5 medals and 1 swag bag, (no shirts are included with this discount)

April is Autism Awareness Month. Autism refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication.

This event benefits H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection Family Empowerment Center whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for people with special needs through a family-directed resource center that symbolizes professionalism, dignity, compassion, and respect. Description:

On 5/18/2026, the Porterville Military Academy athletic department is hosting a 5k/10k run/walk starting and finishing at Porterville Military Academy. Join us for a 5k or 10k dirt path course that is out and back. We are also hosting a children's 1/4 mile short course for your little ones to get in on the action. We look forward to seeing your whole family enjoy this community event.

All 5k race participants will receive for FREE:

• Chip time and digital certificate

• Race bib with individual number

• Upbeat motivational music

All kids 1/4 mile participants will receive for FREE:

Packet Pickup:

• Place: Porterville Military Academy front office

• 4/16/2026 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

• 4/17/2026 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

• If you are unable to make it to packet pickup, you can come on the morning of the event from 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM

Virtual Race - If you live locally, you are encouraged to come to packet pickup. Otherwise, the race medal will be mailed to you after the race.

We do not store any unclaimed race packets after the race. If you do not pick up your packet prior to the race, then it is considered forfeited. Leftover supplies are donated to volunteers and local charities.

Who we support:

• The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), is an international organization with over 200,000 members. EAA chapters provide a community for pilots and aviation enthusiasts. The Porterville EAA Chapter 1547 has supported Porterville Military Academy Cadets in multiple facets by providing scholarships, overseeing more than 150 Porterville Military Academy Cadets flying an airplane, and mentoring our future aviators on the theories of flight.

Come join us for our 5th annual 5k fun run on Saturday, April 18th! Event held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

“Running for Faith to Build our Future” is a Fun Run 5k hosted by the MOMS at SEAS ministry of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church benefiting the church’s Building Fund. Enjoy an 8am 5K run start time leaving from the church, followed by a pancake breakfast hosted by the Knights of Columbus and LMF on the church’s back patio. **Bringing it back: Raffle baskets during breakfast!

April 18th will be a day to involve the whole family in supporting the future of our church! Let's get our church built!

**A pancake breakfast can also be purchased separately at Masses, or on the day of the event.

All adult participants registered by March 16, 2026 will be guaranteed an Event T-shirt. Remember all proceeds go to the Building Fund!

Come out and Run for Wellness on a beautiful Saturday at Hart Park. Run, walk, or crawl, everyone is welcome. Choose between 5k or the 1 mile. This event is open to the public but has special pricing for Kern High School District Staff and immediate family. (Please sign up by 4/6 to be guaranteed a t-shirt!) Medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each age group per gender for the 5k. We look forward to seeing you and your family for this fun event! Enjoy music and vendors, as well as post-race drinks and snacks. Packet pick-up will not be available prior to the event. Please plan to pick up your packet on race day from 7:00am - 8:15am in Section 2 of Hart Park, near the east entrance. We look forward to seeing you!

Come and celebrate “5 de Mayo” at this UNIQUE EVENT! Join your fellow taco loving friends at this FUN EVENT! As you cross the finish line, you will be greeted by a post-run FIESTA like none other! MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT before, during, and after your run, followed by a FOLKLORICO DANCE demonstration. Whether running or supporting a runner, everyone is welcome to celebrate running, food, and community. For sure, a FUN event you don't want to miss!
