    Momentum becomes commitment.

The Turning Point is the third event in the Zero Dark Thirty Run Series — a progressive program designed to take participants from their first mile all the way to a full marathon.

At 6.2 miles, the 10K represents a shift. It’s where consistency turns into endurance. It’s where doubt gets replaced with discipline. It’s where participants begin to realize they are capable of more than they thought.

This event is run or walk friendly and designed to be supportive and encouraging for all ability levels.

All proceeds benefit the Zero Dark Thirty Foundation, a veteran-led nonprofit supporting veterans through movement, mentorship, and community.

    Dates are 6/13, 6/20, 6/27 and 7/4.

The rides are structured as follows

    10:15 AM… @ George’s Cycles Downtown

    • A Group + B Group Training

    • A Group will ride as far up as where the road becomes wet or snow-covered each week (or group dynamics)

    • B Group will progressively train each Saturday building up to the full climb

    • Week 1- 4 Miles (Aprx Dry Creek Trailhead)

    • week 2 - 8 Miles (Aprx Stark Mansion)

    • week 3 - 12 Miles (Aprx Lower Stackrock)

    • week 4 - 16 miles Simplot Lodge

    • B GROUP IS RIDING TOGETHER TO THE BASE OF THE CLIMB, THEN RIDING YOUR OWN PACE TO TURN AROUND. THE RIDE LEADER WILL FLOAT AMONG RIDERS. ONCE WE GO PAST 8 MILES WE WILL REGROUP AT WATER DROPS WHEN IT GETS WARMER/HOT.

    • Great way to get ready for the climb!

There is an Omnium this year for riders participating in both Boise Twilight and The Hill Climb. More information about how the points work can be found by clicking on this sentence.

For the Hill Climb: No racing license needed; this is a fun ride/race largely for bragging rights, although there will be a few prizes sprinkled in for fun! Meeting place is Harrison Hollow Park: 2899 N Harrison Hollow Ln, Boise, ID 83703. We will be doing packet pickup on the Thursday before the race at State Street George's, and the Friday before the race at downtown George's, 4-6 both evenings. If you can't make that, we will have the last early number pickups at the George's tent at the Twilight Criterium, we always have the tent on the outside corner of turn 1, where Jefferson meets 6th St.

Morning of the race: please arrive early and get your own warm up in. We will have a George's tent set up if you haven't yet picked up your number (but please please try to get it prior!). Line up and instructions/thank yous start at 7:45 and we roll out at around 7:50 so that the Hill Climb begins right at 8, when we pass Curling. If you are not at Harrison Hollow by 7:45 you may miss the roll out. Don't be too cool to not listen to the safety chat.

Riders finishing before 10am must remain at the top of the mountain until 10am. This is for traffic control purposes and YOUR SAFETY. At 10am riders are free to head back down the mountain. You may ride from the finish line to the lower lodge and back if you wish (just don't cross over the finish line again, or confuse others finishing).

Podiums will just be the Top 3 Women and Men overall. But we will break results down by your age group for bragging rights.

Medical support will be on hand for emergencies, we will give you a number to call for help. There will be aid stations along the route as well - at the National Forest Sign and Lower Stack Rock. Finish is at the Pioneer Lodge -- the upper lodge, as you arrive you will see cones and the finish line.
