The Salisbury Zoo's annual Zoo Stampede 5K, sponsored by Vernon Powell Shoes, is set for Saturday, May 2nd, at 9 a.m. The race kicks off from the Salisbury Zoo's East Gate (across from the Elks Golf Club). The race will go through the Zoo and along the Salisbury City Park's greenway. The course is primarily along a crushed-stone path. This year's event is themed for the Monarch Butterfly in celebration of our involvement with the Monarch SAFE program (Saving Animals From Extinction). An educational community day celebrating our Monarch SAFE program with take place after the race. Let your imagination run wild and dress in your favorite animal costume! Runners with the most creative costume will receive a prize from our generous sponsors. 100% of proceeds go to support the Salisbury Zoo.

Costume contest prize
Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the zoo and are not permitted in this event. Service animals are the only dogs permitted in the Zoo.
